  1. I saw a youtube video on the making of that Treasure Chest VCS.......that was cool! Alot of Atari stuff I see.....wish the Houston ArcadeExpo had selections like that!
  2. Yep.....you would have to pre-order the clear shells/carts by Monday!! They are cutting it off on that date. Then you'd still have to get a real Jaguar console to swap the insides. Later on they will produce the Retro VGS console with the same mold - probably black plastic again. (thru Kickstarter)
  3. Good questions.....no one knows yet. It would be nice if it played the earlier games that Retron 5 doesn't....Atari, Mattel, Coleco, GCE, etc.

  5. 500 homebrew games for 2600 only......not even going into 5200/7800/etc - the number does include WIP, demo's, some hacks, etc too
  6. I've been working on a excel spreadsheet of homebrew games that have been designed for the Atari VCS/2600 console. My list has surpassed over 500 titles and I've tried to log the information for each as: Title URL/weblink ROM downloadable (yes/no) Developer/Designer Publisher Year (of release) Genre Price etc (notes/info) I've been working on this for 2+ years and still finding more titles almost everyday. I figured I would expand on the same idea as the titles are listed on the Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Atari_2600_games#Homebrew_games and from AtariAge's development list at: https://atariage.com/development_list.html I have complied my info from these sites: AtariAge.com AtariAge forums Good Deal Games 2600Connection.com Hozer Video Games Packrat Video Games SpiceWare Games retro-reload.com Gray Games Atari2600.com Tactical Neuronics Bitpop vidiotgames.com CollectorVision Kickstarter Retroware atari2600homebrew.com atari2600land.com zutco.com I think I have a majority of the homebrew titles on my list. I understand this is (and may never be) a "complete" list but it will be more extensive than any other list elsewhere on the 'net. If any of my fellow Atari.io members have info on homebrew titles (mainly earlier years 1996-2005), I would welcome the info.
  7. Went to my closest RadioShack (THAT IS NOT CLOSING) and spent the last $61 on my giftcard (+ $10 coupon that RS offers on their website) and got: SanDisk 64 GB Flash Drive SanDisk 32 GB micro SD card LED Swiss Army Knife combo and 2 Gold-Plated Phono-to-F Adapters to go with my Vader console and my Intellivision console. So, of course I had to try the adapters. Played my 2 newest Atari 2600 carts: Fast Eddie & Eggomania! Also, played: Galaxian, Chopper Command and Dragster. Plus, I set a new all time personal best on Dragster at 6.54 sec!! Happy Atari Day!!!!
  8. << my sister bought me this Atari shirt that I'm wearing in the pic to the left.............
  9. ordered mine on 1/1/15 and got them on 1/9/15.....was missing a 2nd tower of doom overlay - so they sent me 2 of them, so I had no problems with them. Others that ordered them in early Dec 2014 are just getting their sets now since the site crashed sometime in Dec.
  10. excellent video on the Intellivision Flashback.........just need to add that it helps to purchase the "Supplemental Overlay Pack" too!
  11. Sure do!!!! CIB TomyTronic Pac-Man handheld............. that same year (Christmas 1980) I actually asked for the Entex Pac Man 2 handheld......I remember going to K-Mart with my mom and asking them for it (since I had seen it there for sale before-hand) and the employee talking her that they were recalled due to a licensing issue over the "Pac Man" name. So I ended up with the Tomy version instead. UNTIL 1998 and I bought one off of eBay complete but with no box! Posted a high score on the emulation version of the TonyTronic Pac Man here........ http://highscore.com/scores/DedicatedHandheldEmulated/TomyTronicPacMan/8066
  12. wonder what the price point will be............. my Donkey Kong was $59.99 back in the day............
  13. I wonder if they will still have VFD screens ........or some other type............
  14. Yes there was but it was shaped a little different than those..............
  15. How many members here own one or all of the Coleco Tabletop Games? I still have my Donkey Kong (CIB) along with the Coleco Perma Power adapter too!!! and have you heard about this in 2015???????............... https://twitter.com/ColecoVision_/status/495400119982768128?lang=en
  16. If I ever get an actual console - the first cart I'm getting is Tempest 2000! Played it at the 2014 Houston ArcadeExpo with a modded Jaguar controller that had a knob built in the back of it for this game - it was very cool!
  17. I've never held one nor used one.............it seems to me that the fire buttons are too low down on the controller to be effective. Is it similar to the NES gamepad controller?
  18. Outside of those programs I'm not familiar with any others - sorry.
  19. Would be nice to get a "completed" Arena Football '95 game for the Jaguar!!!!
  20. The last 2 years at the Houston ArcadeExpo, Darrell Spice Jr. from Spiceware has done presentations about how to write & program for the Atari VCS/2600. His site is http://spiceware.org/ I know there is a program called Batari to write programs but there's some other program that Darrell uses. If you watch his presentation its listed in there. Hope this helps you.
