Oh, I purchased tons from Intergalacitc!  I even visited their store (when they had one) many years ago when I was visiting Orlando.  It was so cool.

Arenafoot reacted to slobu in Balloon Girl / Sharkstorm homebrew Atari 2600 double ender
Just made some of these Balloon Girl / Sharkstorm dual carts for the CORGs expo.
Balloon Girl is a one button side-scrolling action game.  Kinda like Balloon Fight or Flappy Bird.  Collect joysticks and pink squares for points while avoiding baddies.  The FIRE button is used for everything and should be friendly to accessibility controllers.
Sharkstorm is the developer version of Twist R Shark.  This is a top down boss rush game with procedural content.  The boss characteristics grow and change each wave.

Arenafoot reacted to Sabertooth in Atari XP Physical Releases - Atari Releasing New Atari 2600 Game Cartridges!
It looks like the current iteration of Atari is getting back into physical 2600 releases via a new imprint called AtariXP. Carts are made in small quantities here in the US. The first three releases are Yars' Return, Aquaventure, and Sabateour.
Of course, all of these exist on various collections and Sabateour was released by AtariAge years back. Still it's kinda cool to see an official cart release. Standard edition cart only packages are $49 plus tax and shipping. Limited Collectors Editions are $149 and have premium boxes, manuals, a digital copy for the new VCS, poster, certificate and enamel pin.
I might pick up the Standard editions just to see what's up. They are all pretty solid titles.

Arenafoot got a reaction from RickR in The Atari 2600 Homebrew and Hacks Checklist books now available!
My sixth book was just released yesterday and is now available thru Amazon! The Atari 2600 Homebrew and Hacks Checklist books are now available in full color or black and white paperbacks.
"The Atari 2600 is alive and well, with new games being released all the time through the power of Homebrew! The Atari 2600 Homebrew and Hacks Checklist book covers all titles released on cartridge over the past 25 years (1995-2020) for Atari’s legendary console. Inside this book, you will find every title listed in a checklist form to keep track of your collection. Each title has pertinent information about the release with the programmer, publisher, original price, quantity made and so much more. From the first homebrews like SoundX, Edtris (1995), Okie Dokie, Stell-A-Sketch, Cubis, Tetris26 (1996) to the latest and greatest releases like Zoo Keeper, Avalanche, Tower of Rubble, Venture Reloaded (2020) are covered in this checklist book. This edition is in full color on white paper and contains 150 pages covering every release for the VCS/2600 console. Cartridge labels are pictured after every letter chapter to show the differences between releases over the past 25+ years."
My plan is to have an updated checklist book every year (by Christmas) with the latest and greatest Atari 2600 homebrew releases all added within the current book.

To preview/purchase the full color paperback book ($27.49):
    USA: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093RP1CKQ
    Canada: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B093RP1CKQ
    Great Britain: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B093RP1CKQ
It is also available in 6 other countries, just PM me for other countries links.
    To preview/purchase the b&w paperback book ($12.99):
    USA: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093WMPGG8
    Canada: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B093WMPGG8
    Great Britain: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B093WMPGG8

All of my previous books are still available at: https://www.amazon.com/author/brianmatherne

I can't wait to see my fellow collectors checking off their games in my books, and seeing which ones they are missing!!
Huge Thanks go out to my readers, fellow gamers, collectors, and the Atari Homebrew programmers for making this series a success!!!

I thought the Star Trek magazine was for you @RickR because you're a Trekkie (my assumption based on your profile cover image)! I didn't think that you put it there.
One item I particularly struggled with was the modded Wii as I've always wanted one (I have a Wii) and the bowling bag. I love Wii Sports and the bag was perfect! Alas, I don't have space for it.
Notes on some of the stuff I put in and photos below:
The iam8bit sticker went on the outside of the box. Pointmaster joystick was part of the lot where I picked up the heavy sixer a couple of months ago. Stuff that did not make it in the box: the ET lego (shown below), a larger set of LotR figures, an Atari 8-bit CIB game, a plushy, and some other stuff. The Alan Wake game with the MS employee store sticker -- that was purchased by me way back in the day, and 1845, that's my employee number on the sticker. I was going to buy another copy to send (since I recommended it to RickR in another thread ) but decided to put a more personal touch on it 🙂 Rick, feel free to sell or trade it -- I don't mean to imply anything.

And now, the items that blew my mind.  There is junk (with small letters) and then there is JUNK.  GOOD JUNK.
So wild.  It's a Wii Sports BOWLING BAG!  WTF!  I love this so much.  And inside, a "hacked" and wrapped Wii.  Are you kidding me?

Trinkets, or treasure?  I say treasure.  Are those Nintendo pogs?  Star Trek stamps?  Another Milieu Macabre figure?  A Steve Austin magnet???  Spiderman playing cards?  Springy Luigi happy meal toy???? TREASURE.

The Junk Box has returned to the mother ship.  Hooey, it's heavy too.  I was huffin' and puffin' by the time I got back home from our parcel locker.  Let's have a look at it, shall we?  It's so cool how you guys supplemented the decorations so tastefully.  The box is definitely worn, but intact.

Arenafoot reacted to RickR in 2600 sports games--Are they still fun today?
I love sports and sports games.  On the 2600, there are some really good ones:
Ice Hockey - simple, good looking, and fun.  There is some good strategy involved. RS Volleyball - surprisingly complex for a 2600 game.  Looks good, plays good Basketball- a very early game that nails it.  Is it the first kind of 3D-esque game?  Maybe.  The graphics are silly, but it plays well.   Pele's Soccer - This one is universally hated, but I love it.  I don't think most really understand how to play.  Pass the ball amongst your 3 players, and use misdirection and diagonals to shoot.  It's very rewarding to put together a scoring run.  Also, the fireworks when you score are so cool!
