LOL.  That's one game concept that will live on indefinitely.  Space Invaders never gets old to me.

I ordered from an AtariAge user some boxes for cartridges that were released without them -- four for 2600 games and four for 5200 games (Battlezone was an unexpected freebie). These boxes weren't cheap (14 euros a pop), but the quality is there, so I'm happy with them. They also came with inserts for 2600 cartridges (not shown). I currently only have Kabobber and Astro Grover 2 but I intend to get carts for the remaining boxes in the near future. I'm probably not alone in this, but I like boxes on the shelf and usually collect CIB games if I can.

There should be a thread for sharing your "Patchworthy Scores" on Activision games, where Activision had defined what score you had to reach in order to earn a patch.

Don't own the game, and don't plan to own it anytime soon. I have, however, emulated it. I can't help you any; the only thing I ever can do in this game is blow the engine.

I'm not a big fan of E.T. but that doesn't mean it's the worst game ever. I can see how someone might enjoy it.
This poster greets me every morning. I'll never forget how to play E.T! Though the game isn't one of my favorites, I think the poster's cool.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial for Atari 2600 is not the worst game ever made, that's just something people like to say. @GoldenGalaxiesGaming just posted a brilliant new video taking us on an Atari E.T. playthrough, showing:
HOW to play the game What the symbols mean How to get E.T. home How to get a high score and explaining why E.T. is NOT the worst game ever. I'm such a strong believer in this, I'm considering pinning this topic to the top of the Atari 2600 Forum.

WOW‼️ That looks soo good for the 2600! Honestly that may look and play better than RealSports Baseball on the Atari 7800. Definitely the best looking Baseball game on the 2600. Really good work, Champ Games has been hitting it out of the park with their recent releases.

Awesome Atari book! I just finished reading HC4! 🙂
I liked the screenshots and analysis sections, and the coverage of the new Atari consoles games like Strip Off from Tactical Neuronics.
I also liked hearing favorably about programmers and productions that aren't always noticed or promoted on AtariAge - my friend from the scene bitd Greg Zumwalt is featured in this book with pictures and a backdrop story for Candyman I enjoyed.
I've started Reading BREAKOUT how Atari computers defined a generation and it's an awesome book too with great screenshots and insightful stories 🙂
Racing the Beam is available free online as a PDF, and I downloaded it after losing my copy, but there's nothing like reading a real book and rereading the PDF just did not compare - I'll be reading this hardcover next.

I did a little research on Twin Galaxies and found the highest score they had for Seaside on Pole Position II was 73,350, below my current high score of 73,500. I felt like I had more in me when I got that score, but potentially 73,500 is the highest score possible on that track. I'm going to keep trying, and at some point film my score for YouTube and maybe submit to the high score sites.
