Yes! Those are Top Shelf games @Arenafoot. Absolutely some of the best. Happy and Scramble for Atari 2600 by Champ Games are incredible. If I didn't know any better I'd think those were ColecoVision games, the graphics and gameplay are so well done. I also like Medieval Mayhem and Draconian for Atari 2600 by Spiceware. I'm a big Warlords fan and it's nice to see someone give it the 2600 version it deserves.

Guess what? Today is the 40th anniversary of The Dukes of Hazzard! So how about a thread about Cooter's Place?
Last spring I visited Cooter's Place in Nashville, TN. It is a Dukes of Hazzard museum and souvenir shop owned by Ben Jones, who played Cooter in the series. There are also locations in VA and other parts of TN as well, and it's not uncommon for them to have former Dukes stars come to sign autographs.
Here's a photo tour of my visit:

No disrespect meant to anyone else's work but Halo 2600 may be the greatest Atari 2600 homebrew ever made. That would have done so well had it been released in 1982. I'll also place Thrust+ Platinum by Thomas Jentszch up there along with Juno First for 2600 by Chris Walton. Lots of great people out there doing amazing things on these old game systems. Halo may be the one that I give the most play.

Old School Gamer Magazine Issue 8 is out today for online reading.  The print issue will follow soon.  This issue has an article I wrote quite a few months ago looking at the Starpath Supercharger for the Atari 2600, so be sure to check it out.
Shoot 'Em Ups..... we love to button mash on them at the arcades.  But its not all about slamming those buttons as Walter Day talks about in the Art of Shooting!  Or how about the greatest Atari 2600 Shooters by Brett Weiss, and the Darius Series arcade games that Adam Pratt talks about on page 28.
Plus cool articles on PUCK-Man being renamed, Horowitz's History talking bout 32X - Star Wars Arcade plus Mini Arcades, Ed Kelley, Tetris and Joseph Saelee and more! Read all about it!  Even better subscribe to the print edition and get it in your mailbox too!

    Hey guys!

I am just your average Retro Gaming fan! Grew up with the Intellivision, Commodore 64 and Atari 2600.
Still love to collect and play and I also have a YouTube channel called Brian's Man Cave where I show off and play Retro consoles and games
My buds The Atari Creep, The No Swear Gamer and ArcadeUSA often mention t his forum on their channels, so I decided to hop on board.
Here is my latest video about The Atari Creep:

I won one of these from AtGames the day after Christmas!
I thought the batteries in the handheld would be sufficient enough to power the unit completely. But to plug in the dongle with an AC adapter behind the TV makes it difficult to use on a regular basis. Maybe if they make the dongle rechargeable??
I ended up selecting the Activision Blast unit. I love the rewind feature!
