VectorGamer got a reaction from Lost Dragon in Is Bubble Bobble possible on Atari?
I don't get the appeal of what will amount to a watered down version of Bubble Bobble on the 2600. If I'm too lazy to fire this game up on my MAME cabinet then I can play an OK version on the NES.

Take Princess Rescue and Zippy: while they may be fine games by 2600 standards they are still inferior to playing these games on the NES and Sega Genesis, respectively.

Bubble Bobble on the 2600 will result in a simplified version of the arcade game: probably have less boards, less elements (enemies and prizes) on the screen and the audio effects will be inferior as well.

If I were limited to just one joystick then it's going to be the standard cx40 by Atari.

But I don't have to use just one joystick.

For maze games I use the Epyx controller which for me is the best controller to use for that genre.

If I'm playing Asteroids or Star Castle there is no better controller than the Starplex.

Wico is a good controller as well.

VectorGamer got a reaction from The Professor in Does the Atari 5200 really deserve to be included as one of the worst consoles of all time?
I used to think the 5200 controller sucked because of it not centering but then I got better at using them. The controller still suck by how easily they break.

If you stack the 5200 against the Colecovision I'm taking the CV every time because it has a better software library. Too many games on the 5200 are meh.

If I win the lottery why would I get only one machine? I would get Asteroids, Space Fury, Space Encounters, Death Race, Tron, Discs of Tron and Gorf.

Until then I'll have to settle for the MAME cab I made from Computer Space.

BTW: here's Space Fury on the ColecoVision which plays properly. Watch how the alien ships do not destroy you only the cruisers do.

Just look at that guy on the other forum that took money for two INTV games last year (or perhaps even earlier) and they weren't even programmed yet. The developer still hasn't even finished programming them yet after all this time. Why take money for something that hasn't even been programmed? Outrage!

Here is the last update I received on 6/28/15 which was a response to my Q posted on Kickstarter:

I never bothered to download the digital copy cuz I want to sit my fat a55 down in the chair and watch it on the big screen using DVD.   So maybe 3 months hasn't really been a "long time" but it sure seems a long time since I gave them my money.

I didn't know of the Master System's existence BITD. I found one at Goodwill a few years ago so I picked it up. Didn't like the games for it. I really only liked Hang On.

LOL at the size of that thing. I can imagine Timeline Arcade lugging that thing up the steps to the arcade on the second floor.
