So just a little background regarding this video.
My kids and I watched every Nintendo direct on our WiiU, it became an event in our house and we were all very excited each time they came on.
I kept the kids on Nintendo systems for al long as I could because I wanted them to be kids, I wanted them to be lost in innocence and enjoy the kid and family friendly nature on Nintendo. Iwata, Reggie and Miamoto became stars to the kids and they realized that the long linage of games and characters they love these guys had a hand in all of it.
When Iwata died we all cried over here, it was very sad to see his passing.
The man that brought so much to our family fun time passed and we all sat there and cried.  Because of these Nintendo directs my daughter is studying Japanese to become a translator for Nintendo, thats what she want to do.

This is such a touching tribute to his work

Yeah we can play a perfect version of Pac Man today, we can say all the things that are wrong with it, but remember this and Space Invaders cemented Atari in video game history. You could play Pac Man on the 2600 or KC Munchkin... All the big Arcade titles were on the 2600 first. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, and go get a t-shirt.

I agree! I was very young when we got it and it was because of this game that I played all the time that made me love PAC-Man as a kid! I was so young that I played this first before the arcade one. In my mind I thought they made it that way to be harder so it was more of a challenge. Lol Was not till I got older that understood. I was just amazing to be able to play these kind of games at home back then!

I love to see that people are playing on real hardware, but if you cant that's cool too - play have ever you can. I pride myself that every bit of game footage on the show is on real hardware, no emulation. The sounds are iconic, brings back memories.

Little rusty, had to remember all the little nuances and that doesn't play like the arcade. The arcade drives like a fine tuned sports car, this drives like tractor trailer.

Great game, great sound! If you look at the credits for the game, so many of the same great names appear! LX Rudis and Bob Vieira on Music and Sound. Pete Wierzbicki and Susan G. McBride on Art and Animation. We've seen those names before on Lynx and they give these games their distinctive character.

I played a bit today and realized real quick that:

    1. I need to micro switch one of my very tired OEM joysticks.
    2. WICO Command Stick has too wide a swing to use on this kind of maze game.
    3. D Pads suck for maze games.

All 3 I knew to start with. I have had no issues in the past reaching a 5 digit score playing the 2600 port of Pac-Man however today could not reach more than 1500. HAHA

    On a mission now!!!!!!
