And did this on his first play through...

Little rusty, had to remember all the little nuances and that doesn't play like the arcade. The arcade drives like a fine tuned sports car, this drives like tractor trailer.

I love to see that people are playing on real hardware, but if you cant that's cool too - play have ever you can. I pride myself that every bit of game footage on the show is on real hardware, no emulation. The sounds are iconic, brings back memories. -

It’s a really important game, as flawed as it is. Let’s remember that was the ONLY way to play pac man at home, at that time. That’s what made atari in the 80s, Pac-Man set Atari apart from every other system out there. Only ATARI had Pac-Man.
Plus remember, Pac-Man is...
Totally accessible to everyone Totally iconic, as bad as it is -

Here is mine so far. Playing another round after posting this. Played on real hardware an not sure where the interference is coming from.

Opps...there goes another ghost or two. This Pac-Man does allow the player some control over where the ghosts travel. And if you watch long enough you can predict where they are going to go even after eating a power pill. Seriously, spend the first level taking time to move a little and watch how the ghosts react to where Pac-Man is...do the same for eating a power pill. You may find a pattern.
New score: 6553
Going again! Fun game.

btbfilms76 reacted to Justin in Squad Challenge - Balloon Fight (NES)
Congratulations nosweargamer!
INCREDIBLE SCORES, GUYS!!! Congrats on your win NSG! Balloon Fight is a personal favorite of mine as far as the NES goes. I've been waiting a long time to post the Balloon Fight High Score Challenge, hoping it would be included on the Mini NES (it was!) and hoping there would be enough of them on store shelves for everybody (there wasn't!) After waiting long enough it was time to make this Squad Challenge happen, especially in remembrance of the game's creator, Satoru Iwata. It was great to have so many of you participate! Nosweargamer won with an impressive 606,750 points! Starbuck66 placed 2nd with a score of 465,550! I hope this has been fun for everybody and was as much fun for you as it was for me. I'd like to encourage NSG to post his winning Balloon Fight high score on the Scoreboard! Way to go everyone!
We invite Squad Challenge winners to share their winning scores on the Scoreboard and keep the game going!

btbfilms76 reacted to Sabertooth in Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest for Atari 7800
My schedule recently changed so that I have every other Friday off. Lucky me, I went to the P.O. box this morning to find my long awaited copy of Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest. Starring Bentley Bear of Crystal Castles and Atari Karts fame, this Pokey enhanced game was originally intended for the long-delayed XM add-on. Atari Age and Bob DeCrescenzo finally decided to move forward and put it out with the Pokey chip instead. I've avoided playing the rom via emulator as I wanted to be surprised. Early impressions are that this is one great platformer for a console starved for that genre. It also strikes me as one of the most ambitious homebrews undertaken on the 7800. I can't wait to play more.
Have you played Crystal Quest? What are your thought?
