Great episode BTB! Chip's Challenge is awesome, definitely in my Top 3 favorite Atari Lynx games. It compares really well to The Adventures of Lolo on NES. Chip's Challenge is a fantastic puzzle game that exists in a cool little world, it was hard not to play it for hours. The Lynx version far exceeds the Chip's Challenge that made it to PC, which made the Lynx look outstanding by comparison.
Here's to Dave Needle

Your lynx problems sound like cap problems, you might have bad caps and I believe there is a cap kit that can get you back in action. I know ebay has a few options for the Game Gear so I would think that a lynx one is out there too.

He's a HUGE Star Fox fan… So when I pitched him the game I told him it was like Star Fox but you weren't on rails. Obviously he was thinking the game was Star Fox and was probably let down. Personally I like Battlemorph, and I like Star Fox, two different games but I like qualities in both.
I really like the way CF plays on the Lynx, I also had Super Monaco gp on Game Gear and it wasn't as fun or in depth as CF.

LIttle bit of Jag, little bit of Lynx. Checkered Flag vs Checkered Flag… Who will win?

The capture is working great, I've already captured about 6 games so far and it looks and sounds amazing - love that Lynx sound.
I will post the homemade Kalula recipe a little later. Drinks of the Jag Bar and Lynx Lounge, classic!!

Well here is the first official episode for the Lynx Lounge. It's way longer then I wanted but I needed to get a bunch of stuff out of the way up front, then we can dig into the games. Thanks for watching.

Well I feel like I need to do another NBA Jam TE episode because I totally forgot that was also a 4 player game. I just need to track down two controllers - for a good price, and do another episode. I think the same guys should come back and have a rematch.

Great episode, BTB! At my last "Dads' Day of Atari" we basically had this exact experience with WMCJ. Then we played NBA Jam TE.
The punching is definitely the most fun element of WMCJ. Your friends were spot on in their assessment of the akward camera impacting actual play. I also get the same reaction with the controller. No one who has actually held one will agree that the Jag pad is among the worst controllers ever. Its damn comfortable and plays well - especially the pro-controller.

In my ideal world where I've secured control of Atari and overseen the rerelease of the Jaguar, this is the image I would put on the side of the box

Wow! That is some crazy FFL numbers! I recall seeing one copy in an EB Games. Only time I saw one, but at that time, Jag stuff was hard to find in stores in general.
Do you got any 7800 stories

Great episode! I should get my modded Lynx back next week and then I'll try to tackle some of these as you play them. I was going to do the install myself but time has been at a premium lately and the screen is too $$$ to screw up.

Awesome advice about getting the launch titles with the flat lip. Lynx launch titles were stellar. Way ahead of its time, so far ahead of anything Nintendo was doing.
ElectroCop was one of my first Lynx games too. It has that awesome music and bright beautiful pixelated robot world that defined the Lynx. I always had a theory that ElectroCop existed within the Chip's Challenge universe and was how Chip saw himself, as this radical techno-hero that saves the world.
Great episode as always BTB, I seriously, seriously love this show. So good what you are doing.
