  5. I think they're called the Jerkfacians.
  6. What I like about the VS is that certain cart combo's unlock a game. Like if you have Atari Collection 1 & 2 inserted, Dark Chambers 7800 becomes playable. It's a fun bonus for collecting them all! 😉
  7. Here's a great article on secret games & unlocakables on the Evercade VS. The 9 "secret" games will always be available from the console once unlocked. Others require specific cart combos to be detected. This is just another fun way to enjoy your Evercade VS. Have you unlocked them all? https://www.timeextension.com/guides/evercade-secret-games-and-how-to-unlock-them
  8. Insomnia had me watching the newest episode before 3 am. Without getting into spoilers, I'll just say that I really liked episode 4.
  9. Release Date: TBD Retail: TBD Developer(s): Way Forward Publisher: Atari Official Site Synopsis : From the renowned development studio WayForward Technologies, Inc. 10. Welcome to the official topic for YARS RISING
  11. I've seen comments from folks that waited for the black limited edition EXP who are upset that the color on the new model appears to closely resemble the LE model. Also, as @socrates63 said, some folks were hoping for a more premium update or even peripherals- like a joystick- and are underwhelmed by the news. Its great for new folks just getting into the ecosystem. Not a lot here for you if you already have a VS or EXP.
  12. My exploration of PC-Mode continues with Contra: Operation Galuga played on Steam via ChimeraOS on a stock 8GB VCS.
  13. New cost reduced "R" models just announced to mixed response in the Evercadeverse.
  14. Does anyone else hear "Yoomp! There it is!" in the style of "Whoomp..." when playing this? Or is that a me thing?!
  15. 4527. A slight improvement. I am still hung up on Level 7. I find the graphics to be a bit less garish with the background off and the CRT filters on.
  16. Also, ICYMI, the Series V Giveaway announcement posted earlier today. Since this is a 12 month challenge, I wanted to do something special.
  17. One of the things I appreciate about the game is that you can access up to your last unlocked level to figure out problem points before making your next high score run. Level 5 was really giving me a hard time at first. Now it's Level 7.
  18. Congratulations to @Smell Dawg, the winner of our Series IV giveaway and Tempest Dad Hat! Thanks to everyone who participated! The Series V prize will be announced shortly.
  19. Yesterday's Atari Podcast was with the dev and producer for NeoSprint. Interesting the dev talked about what a challenge it was to get the Switch port locked in at 30 FPS.
  20. Casual gameplay only of Xenophobe (7800) on the 2600+. I was spoiled by the Lynx port, so this never got a ton of play. Lack of character choice and clunky controls make this somewhat hard to recommend. But it does fill a gap in the 7800 library.
  21. I downloaded this one. It's fun, but pretty difficult. Also, due to the limitations of the emulator the VCS version is limited to TIA sound. If you've heard the Yamaha version, you know what we're missing. Still, not bad considering $8.99.
