I know that H.E R.O. is a highly regarded title on the 2600.  Atari just announced a new game from H.E.R.O. programmer John Van Ryzin as a modern VCS exclusive!

Another acquisition by Atari! This time it is the M Network brand and IP, including 2600 games!

Well, April is shaping up to be a decent month for VCS releases.  Heroes of Loot 2 dropped on 4/21, Escape from PoPo is expected 4/26 and Skinny & Franko: Fists of Violence is due out 4/28.  Not bad for a system that was reportedly DOA two years ago.

Here's a promo reel from Atari that is associated with their just launched Republic (Fig) investment fundraiser - Atari Games Pool. Regardless of what folks think about the investment structure, the promo is pretty neat and shows some as yet unreleased/announced games. The reel is definitely worth a look!
