  1. Regarding the 7800 version: I think Bob DeCrescenzo has tapped into something great with porting games to the 7800 in the same way OpCode Games has tapped into something with porting games to the ColecoVision via the Super Game Module. I think Bob DeCrescenzo sees the 7800 the way it was designed, not as something to do what the NES does with tiled graphics but as the home console that could truly bring arcade games home in amazing ways. So many of his ports have been of arcade games or games from previous systems, and he makes the most out of the 7800 to deliver great games. I think all of his ports have hit the nail on the head and K.C. Munchkin is no different. Fantastic job! I think it's very cool that Bob DeCrescenzo was able to keep the "Odyssey Font" at the bottom of the screen, and I love the bit of detail he added to the sprites such as the whites of their eyes. Very well done!
  2. They also filmed an episode of "Half in the Bag" discussing Rogue One. This video is more lengthy at under 40 mins:
  3. Mr. Plinket posted a video talking about Rogue One over the holidays, and posted a follow up video yesterday responding to some of the comments. These aren't full reviews, just quick thoughts about what he liked and what he didn't like about Rogue One. As always Plinket has some pointed criticism of the movie and backs it up with specifics. These videos are pretty short, 7 mins and 12 mins respectively:
  4. That's an awesome picture! I love how nicely they represented Atari and classic video games! They present it for what it is without a mocking tone. Nice post Rick!
  5. I agree and wish it had a different name. I didn't want to be critical though because the game's author is a good guy and he did a superb job bringing this title to the 7800. I have no complaints about the game outside of the name. It's as good as the arcade. I wish licensing rights had been different and the game could've been released as "Burgertime".
  6. Welcome to the forums Cousin Mike! I've heard the stories told about you and I'm glad you're finally here. I think you'll really like spending time here
  7. That looks like a fantastic port to the A8! The 7800 could really use a Tempest release too.
  8. That's the best $30 you could spend anywhere! What an awesome pick up! That ColecoVision looks like it's in really nice condition. How do you like the super action controllers?

  14. If you're going to go with a Raspberry Pi system I recommend the Super Nestro. Essentially a Raspberry Pi system modded into an original Super Nintendo or Super Famicom. Yo-Yo got me hooked on these a while back. It was created by Brian Gin, a concept designer in Redwood City, His store goes on vacation sometimes but he ships quality products. http://www.supernestro.com
