  3. Q. How does a computer get drunk?

    A. It takes screenshots!

  4. 37% complete, should be done by 10AM tomorrow!

  5. A programming genius called Hugh
Said 'I really must see if it's true.'
    So he wrote a routine
To ask 'What's it all mean?'
But the answer was still '42'.

  6. Anyone up for a TI-99/4A high score game contest?  If so, what game would you recommend we go with?  Of course Classic 99 (emulation) as well as real iron would be allowed.

  7. Anyone with a TI in their "User Icon" is okay in my book.

      Haha- thanks!!  😎

  8. Don't ya think they feel like that sometimes?

  9. Don’t use “beef stew” as a computer password. It’s not stroganoff.

  10. Downsizing sucks, moving sucks, packing sucks and unpacking sucks even more.  Thankfully Atari.io is here to help me unwind.

This is a nice looking space, got the window next to the chair and looks like a cool tile floor for the feetsies.  I think i like it better than your last setup.  And yeah, moving sucks.....

Actually that's carpet in the den with a huge chair mat so I can roll around and not destroy it.  The TI has become a "stealth machine"...

... of course everything is not unpacked yet, but...

  11. Have you ever meet someone who claims they hate computers and will never own one... but spends all day on their smartphone?  🙄

  12. I think I'll be spending more time here from now on...

  13. I've made poor retro gaming choices.  I have only have two classic platforms, an Atari 5200 and a Texas Instruments 99/4A.  Both topic areas are like ghost towns... sigh.

Sounds like we need a high score challenge for a 5200 game 🙂 The 7800 Asteroids challenge has gotten me playing daily on the 7800 for the first time in like forever.

Atari 7800 opens doors to two different dimensions: 2600 and 7800. Have fun exploring both. Then do the same with a Turbo Duo, opens up TurboGrafx-16, plus CD and Super CD games. Four birds with two stones. TI and 5200 can be lonely spaces.

Yes they can be.  I love my 5200 but have left it behind in favor of other machines.  The 7800 was a true powerhouse before the 8-bit era ended.

  14. If it's smaller, you're paying more!

  15. If we want to build it, we have to do it together, a single poster attracts no crowd.

YES 🙌 I appreciate ALL of you who help build our little community by reach out to invite friends from all over the classic gamingsphere to join us! I can't do it all on my own, none of us can. It takes all of us to reach out and invite others to join us. Inviting a friend to join us for High Score Squad is a nice ice breaker!

  16. It occurs to me that a Borg cube must really stink because you have thousands of individuals packed into a tight space that never bathe or shower due to being stuck in an unremovable garment for decades.

    1. DegasElite

      DegasElite

Yup! That about sums it up. XD

    2. Justin

It depends on if the cube is open to space or if it sustains atmosphere. Do Borg need to breathe oxygen? Do Borg cubes have life support in that sense? Are they open to space? If the cube is open to space then there's no air to stink up and make smelly 🙃 I would assume the entire cube is not open to space as away teams have beamed over to cubes without too much of a problem. Now it occurs to me I need to create a Borg emoji 🦾

  17. It's appears I'm now an Orange.  Do I win a prize?  What happens when I get to 9/9?

    1. RickR

      RickR

      Orange is the new black.

  18. It's too hot to go outside today, so I'm off to go play with my 5200!

"Pengo" will be a nice cool-themed game to play.

  19. Jump starting an alternative requires a team effort...

  20. Q. What should you do after your Nintendo game ends in a tie?

    A. Ask for a Wii-match!

  21. Something died under my house... I am not amused!
