  1. Thanks. I've made a few others over the years. I remove the one that do no hold up well over time or are replaced by "something better", but for the 5200 stuff if you want to view the others... Consider an Atari 5200 for you Retro Gaming Bosconian 5200 Conversion of course I made a plug video for this site as well... Maybe it's time to make a couple more? Any suggestions for content?
  2. Not a bad deal comparatively. I have a rebuilt joystick, but I never use it because my hands can no longer deal with those side buttons. I found the RetroGameBoyz all-in-one controller a great solution for this arthritic old fart.
  3. Hey guys, there is a nice looking Atari 5200 WITH UAV MODIFICATION installed on Ebay right now for a decent price: << HERE >>
  4. I can understand and relate to lack of time issues. As if I didn't have enough to deal with my cellphone crapped out and had to buy a new one, I spent 6 hours today (time I didn't have) to get it it all configured the way I like it.
  5. That IS awesome, but the first thing that came to mind was, "How can one person find all the time to build and maintain it." Maybe he also has a railroad modified DeLorean.
  6. It looks like a nicely designed card, I'd have to say no though, not because of the product, but because I already use a TIPI for 95% of my storage needs and the other 5% is on the Lotharek. Like @RickR, I've also become more of a casual user these past few years, sometimes months can go by before I turn it on.
  7. You know that inside of that thing reminds me off something. I don't know if it's the hallway of Hatak vessel from Stargate SG-1 or a hallway from Star Trek Deep Space 9.
  8. I haven't been there in at least 20 years, but my favorite at the time was the Northrop T-38 Talon. Up close and personal it's a lot smaller than one would think. On the way back there was a brewpub in another town (I cannot remember the name of the pub or city) that made the best tasting dark beer I ever had in my life. Maybe for vacation next year I'll consider going back as I have a better camera now.
  9. This kind of stuff is why I take whatever a spokesperson says with a grain of salt. I've experienced the vaporware phenomena too many times in my life. I've also been burnt being an early adopter. Live and learn. Now in my "golden years", I look back and think, "If I only knew then what I know now."
  10. In meshing my 3D printing hobby with the TI and getting a little advertising in for the atari.io, I made a lithophane and uploaded the files to Printables. << HERE >>
  11. Oh, on the topic of TI covers, I made one that covers only the keyboard, as it does not get in the way of the cartridge port or ventilation slots, so it can also be used when the unit is on if you have the keyboard modification. The .STL for those with 3D printers is << HERE >>.
  12. @CrossBow did you ever get your TI up and running? I forget.
  13. So that brings up a question, what in the online opinion here is a "fair" price for a working Vectrex in great condition?
  14. The guy trying to sell the one pictured below must be smoking something federally illegal... Really? $3,038.88 with shipping? Ask, but ye may not receive, especially from me.
  15. @TMOP69 I'm impressed, you certainly have more TI stuff than I do. I have even less now than before I downsized. I ended up finding and closing on the new place so fast I had to to do the unthinkable... garbage. I may do a video of my now "stealth TI system" this winter as time allows.
  16. I'm sure the Atari guys would love that! But you know, I doubt the 2600 could do a convincing Parsec.
  17. I'm surprised some Chinese company hasn't made a color one for the retro market, after all they make so many others.
  18. Wow @TMOP69! Yet another port, and so soon too! I never had a 2600 when I was growing up, so these ports of yours will afford me the opportunity to see what I've missed over the decades. It's also nice to see the TI getting some love here, while at the same time expanding it's base of games. When I get back this evening I'll download it and check it out. 👍
  19. Lately I've been on the hunt for some vector graphics games like arcade versions of originals like Lunar Lander, Asteroids, Battlezone and Omega Race. So tonight I thought I'd head over to Ebay to check out what was available in the Vectrex realm. Cough, cough, choke. I've been known to drop a chunk of change now and then for something I really want, but the prices listed << HERE >> about gave me a heart attack.
  20. ... okay @TMOP69, I couldn't wait! I tossed it into classic 99 and played a game. Here is the score for my first attempt. ... now I seriously have to go!
  21. Far out @TMOP69! Sadly I have to go to work soon... but when I get back home... GAME ON!
  22. Well, this is a topic I really, really, really like! My choice is the USS Odyssey from Stargate-SG1, which looks the same a the USS George Hammond pictured below. Why? Well for one in can traverse galaxies, unlike the Star Trek ships. It's built "in present time" (yes I know it's fiction) and it has the most advanced shields and weapons, the legacy of the Asgard a which was technologically thousands of years ahead of us.
  23. Wow, in the original packaging too! I like it!
  24. I had never heard of Bentley Bear before. If it were not for you telling us who it was, and the B on his belt, I would have taken the image as Winnie the Pooh eating out of his honey pot. I guess we learn something new every day. So now I'll return the favor, have you ever heard of Doraemon? He's as popular in Asia as Mickey Mouse is here in The States.
