  1. Great write-up!!

Did you know that the $1 deal for Game Pass Ultimate is even better than it looks? Thanks to Microsoft Rewards, I had paid for my Gold subscription through April of 2021. When I signed up for the GP Ultimate for $1, it converted my existing Gold subscription to Ultimate (I never had signed up for Game Pass) and I don't get charged again for nearly 2 years.

  2. Thanks @Justin!

No injuries & the majority of the damage was tree limited to fallen trees. The one home that took the most damage was the one with photo of the tree through a roof. That’s actually a garage roof. That home was ground zero & trees fell all around the house but none hit the house directly. The siding was damaged & the power lines were ripped from the house, but that’s it.

That home is actually one that my organization rents, so I’m technically the “property manager”. It was quite the headache dealing with the tenants & contractors while on the way to the concert, but it all worked out. In fact, we just received the insurance settlement last month. The repairs are nearly complete & I’m pretty sure everyone else has cleaned up their yard.

The cylindrical building is a home, “The Round House”  It was recently sold & is quite interesting. It’s located on a wonderful spot, right on the southern shore of the island. The tornado moved ashore right at this location.

  3. I forgot to mention that the house on the far left in the top image was either demo’ed or burned down years ago. I’ve never laid eyes on it.

I have a good story about the house on the left! When I was young staying next door, the woman who lived there made THE BEST vanilla milkshakes. She was an author & you may recall my story I shared with @VicSage about a woman who was an old-time radio personality.

  4. I can't believe I didn't respond to you both.

Thank you @RickR & @kamakazi20012 for your kinds words. I appreciate it!

And @RickR, I don't think I had a difficult childhood at all! Yeah, my parents divorced & my mother had poor choices in men going forward, but I had two Christmases, two birthdays & my father pretty much gave me anything I could have hoped for. Yes, I wish that the time was reversed (meaning I went to school with my Dad & weekends with my Mom), if only to have more time with all the cool stuff I had at my Dad's. But if that was the case, maybe I wouldn't have had all those cool things and my summers wouldn't have been as awesome as they were. :atari_2600: :nintendo_nes:
