  1. Pretty cool, I found this: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/threads/atari-collector-pins-todays-score.278410/ If you search for "completed or sold" listing on E-bay you might get an idea of what they actually had sold in the past for. Looks like a Centipede pin went for $22.00 + shipping https://www.ebay.com/itm/144423945829?hash=item21a0568665:g:yjYAAOSwxOBiEXgS Sorry for your loss of your Dad, was he an arcade operator or salesman Perhaps when the weather gets cooler start a sweatshirt or jacket with one of each of the pins on it as a memorial It looks like in that KLOV forum someone may be still looking for a couple you have but that was in 2016 :o chas10e
  2. The RCA to coax adapter is definatly the way to go, If on a modern flat screen TV, you will need it to have a coax input and with the console powered on you may have to do an analog-channel search The console may or may not have a channel select switch (2 or 3) if TV has no coax input an old VCR may be needed There are composite modification kits available to make the 2600 work on more modern TV's https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=atari+2600+mod&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=atari+kiosk&_osacat=0 Keep us posted on your progress 😉
  3. Wow, how did I miss this thread ? In times past; when asked this question "What Are Your Favorite Pinball Tables?" My mind would go blank as there are many. So I decided to choose "The Wizard of Oz" by Jersey Jack. It's the machine that sort of got me back into pinball. I will admit they did sucker me in and I realized it right away. Other machines at the time this one releaced were I recall "AC/DC" & "Iron Man" (Another two favorites now .) the location I saw these three were all $1.00 to play and had a bill slot as well at quarter slots & I thought "It's a buck to play these now ?" The replay score on "WOZ" was like 35,000 points , "AC/DC" was like 50,000,000 points and "IM" seemed high as well (maybe 35,000,000 I dunno.) I figured the lower score would be easier to reach so I risked it on "WOZ" and when the game was over having not reached the replay score I waited for the "match feature" . If the random number shown matches the last two digits of your score you are awarded a free game. Well on "WOZ" "the match" was a SINGLE DIGIT , explaining the low replay threshold BUT I did match and was able to play again. The next game I did reach the replay threshold and got a 3'rd game (on that first buck) and I was hooked !
  4. I have a different name but my Site-nick is similar and still protects the innocent 😉
  5. Hey, Hey ! , I like the name "Chase" ... for some reason Welcome !!!! ... there is a real good energy here @ Atari.io & glad to be a part :)
  6. I think I was better off not knowing what a pain they were when I first played, now when I see 'em I stress-out 😬 Yeah I dunno about this "modern stuff" ... I think I'm getting closer to just start screaming "GET OFF MY LAWN" .... but I don't have to much of a lawn so ....
  7. Noice @datafry .... I can't even reach the first score I posted That's like a C64 stick ain't it ?
  8. The "Stella" emulator is quite acceptable for use on a PC https://stella-emu.github.io/ All the Atari 2600 ROMS can be found here in one download: http://www.atarimania.com/rom_collection_archive_atari_2600_roms.html in "Roms collection" is where I got the game for use in this particular Squad Challenge :) but always prefer origonal carts.
  9. 20,550 on my first try ... had to use my Harmony cart
  10. Couldn't make to 200 point threshold but I'm glad I it wasn't totally "Munsoned" Fantastic turnout & a lotta fun Congrats to @Scott Stilphen on really workin' the boards !
  11. I ain't gonna leave my car ANYWHERE NEAR @RickR anytime soon !!!!
  12. 186 🎳 Had a 176 the other night I forgot to post : I'm creeping up there I have been able to get a strike from launching the ball with the guy standing on the right-lower gutter as show in the final score pics. just have to curve the ball much sooner. I tried all kinds of stuff , counting the number of click to the center, holding a ruler across the screen to line things up .... I also discovered you can't get the ball to zag after a zig
  13. 163 🎳 I had a great start with 3 strikes ... at least I got some this time \o/
  14. 132 Yeah MUCH less frantic I Knew @RickR had something to do with this pick !!! .... that & it's a good one 🎳 😉
  15. Wow I'm glad I got that last score in, I had no idea @RickR was that close. Congrats to @Marco1019 for an epic win !!!! 2600 Bowling sounds fun & I haz a copy & don't need special shoes. Thanks @Justin the patches are a fun achievement and I'm glad to have earned one.
  16. 104,560 That's a "patchable score" isn't it ? ( had to look at a copy of the manual. ... yeah 45,000)
  17. Yeah I like the horizontal moving waves MUCH more than the vertical moving waves. the first vertical moving wave seems a bit more challenging over the next few like they are anticipating your shots to dodge them. If you don't put a break in a column it would be really tough to complete the screen, so at least try to get the bottom 3 Your ships missiles DON'T have an affect on the energy drain so I'd encourage constant firing 😉 If those guys would have not worried about that and fired at the escape pod in Star Wars IV with the droids aboard their side would have won.
  18. 103,870 I'm getting there to be one of the Meglomaniacs
  19. My first thought were they were like sick Oreo's 🤢
  20. 51,520 I didn't put the SD card back in my camera , almost switched off Atari unit before I realized it :O
  21. 47,660 second try. My first try I cleared a couple screens & the screen glitched ... -tupid Activision carts !!! a q-tip & some rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts.
  22. Wow , thanks everybody , when I first posted the score I thought it'd be topped , then I couldn't reach it again.
