Was this thing perpetuated because of the burning that happened on arcade units? I remember the tvs at my work had a permanent burn from the CNN ticker being on almost 24 7 so I think it's possible, but you got to play a lot of the same game in order to do it. My parents were like we spent all this money on a tv, not going to have it ruined over a game.

Whoever thought of that crap needs a summary execution. I know several people who had to suffer from having to play on a black and white tv. I think that someone thought oh it's a great way to sell more tvs, but the pain and suffering.

I was forced as a kid to play my Atari on a black and white tv. My parents fell for the rumors about screen burn. I tried to tell them that it only happened when you play a single game for hours on end. Never got to play in color until the 90s.

I like the idea of them as well, but I think that they are more interested in profits than satisfying the consumer. That is why they didn't bother to fix the controller ports, it was better to leave them where they were

I've been on the fence about these flashback systems, I was wondering if any plans for a mega flashback system, retron5 esk where you can choose the platform, but of course being able to play carts you own in the system as well. But that train has probably left the station because of how poor sales went.

I think that the networks back then were trying to get around having to pay the performers or the theme song the union rate, that's why they changed it slightly for every season. Gillian's Island is a perfect example. Anyway thanks for telling me, I had a suspicion it was start game now, it made more sense.

Hmm I was wondering what the change was. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!
Anyway, I was wondering what you were actually saying in your original theme was it start game now or stop, game now?

It would be cool if they did a Luke or Anakin split with Vader

If only he had a few more days to work on it. It would have never been as hated. But at least he lined up some job security for his next job as a therapist.

See, this is why I want a 5200, but man, that controller, I want to go lay in the fetal position just thinking about it.

They officially killed their indigo go campaign but shot themselves in the foot on how they reacted to criticism. Pat the nes punk had an interesting post on his YouTube about it
This is what I was talking about

Going to check it out.

Howard Warshaw was a very innovative programmer. It was the short deadline that ruined the game. I don't think that it's a bad game, it's a very frustrating game that can be difficult to play on the normal setting.

Good to know there are old pros at this to help us along on this journey. I feel like I got the wooden sword from the old sage in legend of Zelda.

Ok I managed to get two extra lives somehow playing this probably my best score using a color tv. Do they still make black and white? LOL. Can you see my sexy reflection in my screen. I had to wipe the screen off it was too dusty.
