Hey guys I found this game being developed by what I think is a student as a side project. It's neat to see how he has steadily progressed. Check it out!

BTB has a LYNX with A VGA output. He uses it on LYNX lounge.

With the Art of Atari book release now right around the corner (tomorrow!) I'm pleased to present an interview that I did with the book's author, Tim Lapetino, on behalf of the site.  Huge thanks to Tim for his participation and his willingness to give thorough and informative answers.  We hope to have Tim join us for a Wednesday night chat in the near future -- stay tuned for details on that.

I'm now watching my post office box like a hawk for my copy of the book!  I intend to post a review once I've had the chance to read it cover to cover -- I don't imagine it will take me long, as this has been circled on my calendar for months.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts about Art of Atari!

One more nail into the hate column is no backward compatibility, this is going to be an issue with the ds gamers in my opinion. Can only hope for an adapter.

My guess would be no. It looks like the bulk of the electronics is in the device. I don't think that they have the same idea as the Wii U on this one.

Does anyone know if the TV output and the portable screen can display at the same time?

I just see it as a gimmick, not really good at doing both home and hand held consoles and falling way short of expectations. The processor is looking like it would box developers into a corner. Nintendo does processors on the cheap and the ones that company has is a bit ho hum. I hope that I'm wrong, but it looks like the classic console would outsell the switch. That would be embarrassing.

Yup, I'm doing it again and trying to get an even greater head start this time around.
Since the next Atari Day will happen right after Turkey Day, the theme this time around is 2600 games with birds in them.
I will count the results in a week or two, so vote today!

A buddy of mine picked up both Atari Flashback Discs for the PS4. He's currently a vendor at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo so he let me borrow them while he's away. I've been playing Super Breakout and I'm on top of the leader boards for cavity and double! How wonder how long I'll be there. I'm guessing not long really.

Though nothing solid I am hearing an Nvidia Tegra variant?

    https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2016/10/20/nintendo-switch/

I did find THIS posted in a few articles. TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT UNTIL CONFIRMED.

     Nintendo Switch specifications
After Nvidia's last showing with the RSX chip on the PS3, the Nintendo Switch will be sporting a custom Tegra processor, another leak that has come true. According to Nvidia, it's a "high-efficiency scalable processor includes an Nvidia GPU based on the same architecture as the world’s top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards." The idea is, according to the company, to allow blistering fast to the mainstream, building NVN - a new API to make this possible, along with a new physics engine, advanced game tools, and libraries to boot. Though nothing has been said of its raw performance numbers, its developer kits allegedly sport the following specifications:
    Four ARM Cortex-A57 cores, max 2GHz Nvidia second-generation Maxwell architecture 256 CUDA cores, max 1GHz, 1024 FLOPS/cycle 4GB RAM (25.6 GB/s, VRAM shared) 32 GB storage (Max transfer 400 MB/s) USB 2.0 and  3.0 1280 x 720 6.2-inch IPS LCD 1080p at 60 fps or 4k at 30 fps max video output Capcitance method, 10-point multi-touch

Considering a lot of them aren't even tested yet reach full price does seem kind of insane, especially since very well most items being donated simply do not work. Seeing the Jaguar units exceed $200 blows my mind.

@Arenafoot, don't sweat it man, was not that long ago I posted something similar and was similarly "duped"

Just solidifies everything I said in post #4. Eric and others involved think that kind of thing is hilarious, I do not. Even after all my years and experience on AA I still fall for it myself I guess because it is not the type of thing I would personally do, not the kind of thing I find amusing so I guess I am still not expecting anyone to do such things. That said I cannot say I am surprised in the least and really I should of known better considering Eric was making the claim, I mean considering what I know of him and my personal opinion what are the odds HE all of people would legit discover such a thing?

Not your fault Arenafoot. Don't feel bad. You reported what was going on as it was happening to the best of your ability. You posted newsworthy info without linking offsite and forcing everybody to go elsewhere and leave the safety of Atari I/O. You provided an update when you had new information. We all very much appreciate this.

Sorry guys I just found out it was a hoax of a prototype. Instead, it's a homebrew that "Eric7100" made and concocted a story to release his game for the INTV.

    Very bad taste IMO.

as I posted on AA - " "Eric 7100" your online credibility just went way down..........."

I say we join together and boycott his website, if and when he releases his game.
