  1. Well...this is my best so far... Test track Fuji Track Working on Suzuki and Seaside. I use to be able to finish those but old age is now getting in the way lol.
  2. Goodness that thing is a behemoth!!
  3. I stopped visiting AA mainly because of the constant bashing of other members and releases which I have seen. That doesn't happen here which is why I would rather spend my time here than on AA. Maybe someday AIO can reach the point it can publish its own line of home brewed software for the machines we love so much.
  4. I've seen videos that use the "Retrobrite" method, a mixture of peroxide and oxy clean, and just peroxide. I've thought about doing the mixture peroxide-oxy clean if I ever needed to but no info given on how much oxy clean is used.
  5. I believe that cream is a hair bleaching chemical found at most salons. There is an alternative method I found interesting... I have thought about using this method for when I can get a Famicom.
  6. Thanks! Sometimes figuring out new hardware is not as straightforward as it should be.
  7. I guess it will have to do until I can find and afford equipment that will capture the older consoles. Until then I'm stuck with modern stuff. It will capture N64 and SuperNES stuff so I have those I can do videos on.
  8. Well, I did a test run and uploaded the results on YouTube for all to see (oh DEAR!). I managed to play with the settings more, using MPEG-2, and now get over 11 hours of video footage.
  9. That would work if I was using coax...but I'm limited to composite or S-Video. I seen those but they didn't work with the signal I had since it was not a channel 3 or other broadcast. Thanks for the tip, though.
  10. For reference, here is a still screen of what systems like the NES (R.C. Pro Am used to capture still image) look like when using the video capture device I got. On the plus side I did manage to majorly increase the amount of time I have to record video. I switched to MPEG from AVI and now have about an hour's worth of recording time. A 10 minute recording only took 84 MB. Huge improvement! I just wish I could get it to work with some of my older consoles. I tried DScaler and it is a nice program but it was of no help and I could not find any adjustments to correct the signal. The still image above was made using DScaler.
  11. If it helps, the video editing software it came with is Ulead Videostudio 10 SE. Its now owned by Corel. I'll have to see what features it has as I haven't found any adjustments like you have mentioned. https://www.videostudiopro.com/en/pages/old-brands/ulead-videostudio/ Typing www.ulead.com takes you straight to the site above. I will check out that old program you suggested as well as try to see if Windows Movie Maker can access and record from the device.
  12. Hi Everyone! I recently picked up a Sabrent USB 2.0 Video and Audio capture device. It looks similar to the EasyCap USB device (dongle thing with wires coming out of both ends). But I have a few issues with it. I've tried testing it with every console I had and discovered not all is going as planned. My issues are listed below in case anyone here might have a few suggestions to try. Issue #1 - Works with about 50% of the consoles I own. PSOne is OK for boot up screens but loses all signals once the game tries to load. Doesn't work with Atari, TI, NES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis. Works OK with Dreamcast, N64, GameCube, Wii, XBOX, 360, PS2. I even tried patching signals through a hi-fi VCR to see if that helped any but same results. Video signal is almost like having a vertical scrolling issue with b/w images. Issue #2 - Video recording file size. What consoles it does work with I've used to test recording and editing features of the included software. It records to AVI automatically but a 10 minute video takes up between 9 and 10 GB of hard drive space. Is this normal? There are other options (WMV, MPEG, and one other I can't remember). I'm not sure if it is compressing the files or not. Any suggestions here where I can cut the file size down? The device was picked up as a way to capture better quality game play screens for use in YouTube video projects I'm working on for my channel. I've had one computer fail on me (which has been the reason why my videos have been delayed) and am stuck with a smaller laptop with only 75 GB of hard drive space. I removed anything that wasn't needed (after backing up of course) and uninstalled any large apps I didn't use often just to have space to use this device. If anyone has any experience using any kind of capturing device like this and might know of some pointers or tips I would appreciate the shared information. 13. Since I don't have an Intellivision, and games for it, I am just going to donate mine. Paying it forward so to speak. Besides, I need the space for any future SMS games I plan to get. I'm also seriously considering parting with the TI and VIS collection for the same reasons RickR has mentioned...I don't use them and really have no history with them. They are cool but just not my cup of tea. And as much as I like the 32" TV I have it has been nothing but a burden. It is on a floor with machines connected to it. Great picture, awesome sound, but I can't find a stand to support its weight. I found another 20" that would be more manageable. Going to try to simply do a trade on the TVs. I agree...it is crazy just how much those flashbacks are going for. I wonder if the same thing will happen with the coins McDonald's is giving out to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Big Mac?
  14. Not a gaming device...and not exactly modern...but found something I needed today. Philips/Magnavox switch box for multiple devices. Has RF in and out, too! Came in original box with new RF cable and a male to male coax adapter for joining two coax cables together. 2002 model. Looks brand new. $5. Automatically turns on when it detects a signal on any device. First box I've seen/had that has to be plugged in to an AC outlet. Most others I've seen, including the RCA one I have on another TV don't need power at all.
  15. Ikaruga is on Steam and a good shooter...but don't know if its on GOG or not.
  16. Man, my N64, SNES, Genesis collection is poor. And I just stared collecting for the SMS. Nice setup!
  17. This arrived in my mailbox today. Did anyone else get one? I only wish I remembered how I got it.
  18. UPDATE: Well...nice surprise. I found out why the RF was not working. I had forgot about cleaning up any cables I was not using around my gaming TV. That meant unhooking the RF stuff as well to help untangle a rather large hairball of cords and eliminating what I can do without. When reconnecting everything I neglected to reconnect my cable for a direct connection for RF signals mostly used for the 2600/7800 consoles. Dragging out the 7800 for a bit of fun led to the discovery. The cable ran to the back of the TV but I didn't complete the connection to the 5200's switchbox. I got so use to the cable being there, ready to go, that I forgot about disconnecting it until the 7800 refused to show a RF signal. In more simple words...there is nothing wrong with the SMS. It is 100% fully functional...and clean, too!
  19. Thanks, MaxRD. If I had the space I'd gladly give every non-working console I could a home. At least until I could get them fixed and then I'd try to find them a new home if I already one. I love to tinker and fix electronics.
  20. You're right. And thank you. It is in pretty good shape overall.
