  1. I removed my post because I didn't realize that I had already posted. My bad.
  2. Last fired up? I'd have to visit a post I made on these forums where I made my own AV cable for my TI using the cord from the original switch box. Whatever date I posted that was the last time I fired up my 99.
  3. Nope. Don't have one but I can relate to the pine needles. Those things are a royal pain.
  4. If I could just find a reasonable priced Tempest 2000, even if it was just the cart, I'd be very happy. Easily the Jaguar's killer app. I*War and Iron Soldier as well. Power Drive Rally wasn't bad either but felt more like a 16-bit game instead of a Jaguar game. Wolfenstein 3-D was different than the PC version while Doom was an exact port minus the music. I would recommend all those to anyone new to the Jaguar. They are easy to pick up and play.
  5. The 5200 Star Raiders was my first time stepping in this game. As mentioned before me it took full advantage of the controller features. I later got the 2600 version and was disappointed with it. Not that it was bad it just didn't hold up to a version I had played prior. After that I got the 8-bit version and was OK with that but I missed my analog controls. If the 2600 was all one had to play Star Raiders on, and you were OK with it, more power to them. Personally, I stick with the 5200 version
  6. I like the clubs. I think it would be cool to see a club for the A8 and ST computers.  Clubs are hard to find for those these days. Maybe Atari IO could resurrect a computer club by starting its own.

@Atari 5200 Guy I've thought about that but am looking to avoid generic Clubs for Forums we already have created. For example, I'd be open to an Atari Computer Club, but we already have Atari Computer Forums that we want people posting in, and want to generate activity in those. The Clubs will mainly be for extracurricular "off-topic" interests and for segments we don't yet have established Forums for, like the new VCS. I've been wanting to create a Neo Geo Club and a Pinball Club, but those would just be duplicates of the forums we've already created. I've also considered an Atari I/O Movie Club, but again we already have TV & Movie forums. So whatever Club were to be created and approved would need to have a unique, specific twist, and not be something that should simply be a topic in another Forum.

On the other hand, I think it would be a terrific idea for there to be a Video 61 Club. One that was open to the public to come visit for the latest updates on new Video 61 games, short messages from Lance, and there could be "Patches" that could be awarded for High Scores on Video 61 games, even if those "Patches" only existed as Badges in the Forums. I think it would be nice for Lance to have some patches, stickers, posters, or cards printed up that could be mailed to somebody with a new high score, just like the Activision Club used to do.

I'm considering other areas of interests for Clubs right now including an Atari I/O Fitness Club, a Bitcoin Club, a Food Club (cooking at home and dining out) and other interesting ideas. It will depend on the demand of the Forums and also on not duplicating existing areas of the Forums.

I like that video 61 idea. The patches would be a game seller for sure.  And Lance would be the perfect person to do something like that. I don't know if financially he could do it since he has already sunk a lot of money in the 7800 boards.  I'm all for it.

  7. My WOW moment? Had a couple of those. 1st one. A local arcade in my hometown that was still in operation got in a Super Nintendo arcade machine. That's when I discovered F-Zero. I bet I put in about$10 in that machine. 2nd Wow moment was the opening movie to Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast. I pre-ordered both the system and game. Got the game before the system but as soon as the machine arrived I hurried home, hooked it up in record time and was blown away. It left such an impression that I still can hear the Open Your Heart soundtrack to that game. Sega came in and out with a bang when they made the Dreamcast. Those were my wow moments. I'm with most of you guys. The Dreamcast did so many things that the wow factors never seemed to stop. Tokyo Xtreme Racer wowed me because it took a different direction with the racing genre, Shenmue rewrote the rules to open world games and I loved the little things in the game more from buying toys out of a vending machine to trying to win the boom box from the store to playing arcade and lottery games. Then came Skies of Arcadia with such an amazing story that I could not stop playing. I had a few tears at the climax before the ending of the game. I did the same thing with Grandia 2. Such an amazing system. It still has a lot to offer and my favorite Sega system. Thank you Sega!
  8. Oh yeah! High five! Amazing scores you guys. I'm trying to reach the 200 club.
  9. The cartridge I have is copyrighted 1994 but it still has the animation and title music. I don't believe those are missing. I'll double check but I'm pretty sure those are there. The box to mine is copyrighted 1993.
  10. I'm trying to locate a cartridge of Bowling. I'd like to play this one on actual hardware. Nice scores so far. And, yep, I'm feeling someone is going to get a 300 or come very close.
  11. I have a few NEO-GEO games on the 360 that XBOX gave Gold subscribers. One was a fighting game and the other was Metal Slug I think. I'll have to look. But they are extremely fun games.
  12. The NEO GEO is a beautiful machine but was one machine I simply couldn't financially support by any means. Even more so today. I once thought about importing the NEO GEO CD but I could not find one that came with a controller. Let alone any games for it. It's definitely one system that has maintained a cult following and value.
  13. I always thought it was funny when you'd come back to Animal Crossing (GC) and City Folk (Wii) and the townfolks would get on to you for being away too long.
  14. OK. Where's the snack bar? I want a hamburger and some cookies 🤣
  15. Watch out!! Beat my score by 2 whole points 😂
  16. The last time I played this game was on my cousin's 2600 back in the 1980's. 153.
  17. I'll have to setup my computer and play it on emulator. This is one 2600 game I don't have...yet. I'm in as soon as I get dinner out of the way.
  18. I had a LOT of fun!! This was a great way to start off a new year and break in the new digs. Congrats to @Marco1019for an amazing score and to the rest of us for getting those badges. And welcome to @Csolo. I hope you enjoyed the squad challenge. They are a lot of fun and it's really enjoyable when more players chime in.
  19. I played last night until the last minute. Never could reach 100,000 points. Maybe I can the next time we revisit this game.
