Paul got a reaction from Video 61 in TILE SMASHERS for Atari 400/800 XL XE
The fact that it scrolls is sweet, and I like the title screen. Arkanoid type power ups and downs would be nice..

Paul reacted to AlamoAtari in New Jaguar Game - Custodian - by Piko Interactive
I was halfway expecting to see a picture of everyone's favorite pitchman Mike Kennedy holding a mop and bucket. Anyway, I hope that this game does well for them.

Paul got a reaction from Sabertooth in I-War!
Time and money. That is what this game needed to be better. When Atari found a competent developer that was even willing to work on the Jaguar, they should have romanced them better.

Paul got a reaction from Sabertooth in Your Console Restorations and Mods
Let's turn up the heat! I have done many, many mods. Here are three:
-Amiga CD32 with paravision SX-1, fully configured compact flash card IDE, 8mb ram.
-600xl with composite, 64k internal, and ((stereo))
-Jaguar CD with white case and paint job, rotary controller.

If you have not been to this yet, you should consider it. Last year was the biggest year ever, with 2016 looking to be bigger. There is something for everybody. My booth is mostly 8 bit, but I have a little of everything got it. Last year I found a 800 for $30, 1200xl keyboard for free. My booth buddy does custom tshirts. Panels, free arcade play, it's really worth it.

Paul got a reaction from Lost Dragon in Games that pushed the Atari 8-bit Computer
Encounter is one of my favs. The AI is great. Tempest Xtreem is one of the best homebrews- it's highlights are the music and the speech that was implemented without screen blank. Space Harrier - I wish I could take a cart back to 1983 and drop it off to someone competent. Capture the Flag - two player simultaneous split screen 3D, with really good copy protection in 1982? WTF? Drol- great gameplay and animation. Bomb Jack - great work, but requires extra ram most do not have. Crownland - extra ram required, but needs to change the jump from up on the joystick to the button, I hate that. So many more..

I-War is good, but not great. With just a little more optimization and polish, the frame rate could have improved. There is slowdown when a lot of stuff is going on. Music is top notch imagitec Amiga .mod stuff.
