- Ω - Posted July 17 Report Posted July 17 I saw a post from @Cryptocoffee13 about a gamepad controller for the old Atari 7800 units. With an adapter TI'ers that prefer a gamepad "should" be able to use it as well... right? I don't know how well they are built, and are currently sold-out at the Atari site << HERE >>. Anyway, from what I've read in the past, the 7800 joystick is backward compatible with the 2600, but the two buttons will act as one. I've not heard of anyone actually using a 7800 controller with the 2600 adapter for the TI, so I gotta put it out there, has anyone here ever used a CX-78 gamepad with their TI-99/4A? TrekMD Posted July 18 Report Posted July 18 And there's the new version of these gamepads that was just released by Atari. If they also work, that would be cool. 🙂 - Ω - 1 Quote 🖖 Going to the final frontier, gaming...

RickR Posted July 19 Report Posted July 19 I don't know of any reason why they would not work. I can try the next time I get the TI out. Quote
Smell Dawg Posted July 19 Report Posted July 19 On a side note - for those (like myself) waiting for Atari to restock the CX-78+ - the current restock estimate is September 2024. - Ω - and RickR 2 Quote
