Sabertooth
Atari dropped the trailer for Fatal Run 2089. This looks like the first next-level game they are going for. Based on the graphic quality and use of Unreal, it's unlikely to see a VCS release. It's probably a bit demanding for the platform. Interesting property to revisit. Thoughts? Sabertooth
I'll add, the VCS can probably handle this in PC-Mode in lower settings. However, AtariOS was optimized for Unity games. Unreal has proven difficult to work with. But if it can run on the Switch, it will probably run... we just aren't likely to see a native port. Smell Dawg
Definitely excited for this - always have room for an arcade racer (a genre which doesn't seem to get enough attention these days)! Using the lore from previous Fatal Run releases is the icing on the cake. DegasElite and Sabertooth

Sabertooth
Atari has really tapped into Central/South American devs for the reimagined games. - Haunted House (2023) developed by Orbit Studio (Brazil) - Lunar Lander Beyond (2024) developed by Dreams Uncorporated (Columbia) - Neo Sprint (2023/2024) developed by Headless Chicken Games (Costa Rica) - Fatal Run 2089 (2025) developed by MNSTR Studio (Brazil) Edited August 26 by Sabertooth DegasElite, sramirez2008, socrates63 and 1 other

Smell Dawg
Holy smokes, my old laptop meets several of those requirements. However, a cursory search online would indicate that there's no such thing as a "GTX 3050"... Sabertooth
RickR
It does get pretty iffy in comparing video card capabilities. My specs are below. Should be more than adequate, I guess. Sabertooth and Smell Dawg 1
Sabertooth
Atari socials confirmed what was suspected: No VCS port. Edited August 28 by Sabertooth Smell Dawg and RickR 1
Sabertooth
At least we know that UE5 doesn't play well with AtariOS. However, I'm confident that the base VCS hardware will run it with a light Linux distro and Proton in low to mid settings. I look forward to testing that. If they tried to put it on sales, I'd just point them to the sales charts for Lunar Lander Beyond estimating less than 200 sales on Steam.
