Justin
Picked up a vintage 1st edition of an old Pulitzer Prize winning novel about a visionary tech titan who manifests the future. I highly recommend ‘THE SOUL OF A NEW MACHINE’ by Tracy Kidder📖👌 It’s a Non-Fiction book, chronicling the development of a 1980s next-gen computer and the engineering team of masterminds behind it The book partially inspired AMC’s ‘HALT AND CATCH FIRE’ — excellent read! The greatest thing about buying vintage books are finding old inscriptions on the inside. Incredible and beautiful. I’d love to know who Mike & Katie were, and what happened to them. And what else did they get for Christmas, 1981? 🤔 Any other vintage book lovers here? RickR

I would recommend the book to anyone in here with an interest in classic computing. It feels fresh in a way because so much of what we read on the topic are stories about Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc. This is really about a team of engineers trying to pull off the impossible.
