I will go with "Yars' Revenge." It has a real cult following and it was the answer at the time to "Star Castle." They are essentially the same game. "Yars' Revenge" was modeled after "Star Castle." It borrowed from those ideas.

I’m a big fan of Star Castle (I played it last week at PRGE). The convenience store next to my apartment building had it, and as a kid, I played it quite a bit. However, I had never made the connection between Star Castle and Yars. Now that you mention it, I can see the similarities. Both are great games.

It was deemed technically infeasible at the time to port "Star Castle" to the A2600. So, "Yars' Revenge" was created to compensate for the system's limitations. But, then someone did eventually port "Star Castle" to the A2600, although the technology is much more advanced now.

It was ported by AA Developers, Thomas Jentzsch and Chris Walton and its now available via Champ Games. It's an excellent port.
