Justin
 This is tough! 🕹 Which classic Atari 2600 game are you picking and why? greenween, RickR, socrates63 and 2 others
RickR
OMG, this is way too tough! I'm going Space Invaders. You'll get 112 variations and the first killer app. A lot of fun in one box.  socrates63, Justin, DegasElite and 3 others
DegasElite
I will go with "Yars' Revenge." It has a real cult following and it was the answer at the time to "Star Castle." They are essentially the same game. "Yars' Revenge" was modeled after "Star Castle." It borrowed from those ideas. sramirez2008
Wow! Four of the top 2600 classic games for sure. Spent many hours playing each one, but I have to go with Space Invaders. SI was probably the most played game in my circle of friends. RickR, Justin, DegasElite and 2 others
socrates63
Not too difficult a choice for me — it’s Asteroids. Of the four choices here, it’s the one I spent the most time playing. Space Invaders is second. Back in the early 80s, home ports of coin-op games held a lot of appeal, and I’m still a big fan of the early 80s arcade games. sramirez2008, Justin, RickR and 2 others

I’m a big fan of Star Castle (I played it last week at PRGE). The convenience store next to my apartment building had it, and as a kid, I played it quite a bit. However, I had never made the connection between Star Castle and Yars. Now that you mention it, I can see the similarities. Both are great games. It was deemed technically infeasible at the time to port "Star Castle" to the A2600. So, "Yars' Revenge" was created to compensate for the system's limitations. But, then someone did eventually port "Star Castle" to the A2600, although the technology is much more advanced now. socrates63, Sabertooth and sramirez2008

Sabertooth
Missile Command was one of my most played 2600 games as a kid. I also LOVE the artwork. DegasElite, RickR and sramirez2008

It was ported by AA Developers, Thomas Jentzsch and Chris Walton and its now available via Champ Games. It's an excellent port.
