Retro With Marco is a retrogaming recap show featuring retrogaming achievements (high scores, speedruns, 1cc & deathless runs) along with news from around the retrogaming community. Show segments will include monthly high score challenges, upcoming tournaments, new homebrews, and charitable causes. It’s a fun and breezy 30-minute show!

The show airs twice monthly on Twitch, usually on a Wednesday night at 9pm ET. Episode 126 is set for Wednesday, October 23 and Episode 127 is set for Wednesday, November 6.

Keep an eye out for upcoming show teasers along with gaming clips. In the meantime, you can also join me on Twitter/X and Instagram and, of course, on Twitch. I will also be sure to embed my future streams here. (I may join Threads, though I’m still on the fence. I’m not on YouTube because I prefer to keep this show as a hobby.)

Thanks to @Justin for allowing me to join this forum!

I'm a little behind but I'm gaining momentum for Episode 126 of Retro With Marco! Tune in Wednesday night at 9pm ET for new retrogaming records, the latest homebrews for C64, Amiga, & MSX, plus a look at an unearthed exhibit video from the Capcom vs. Data East trial!

Check out the :15 teaser...

I have featured tournaments and challenges in past episodes, including the High Score Squad Challenge and the Recharged Squad Challenge. Another such challenge is the EverythingC64 High Score Challenge hosted on Discord. I posted a week or so ago that this month's challenge was Radar Rat Race. I managed to snag 1st Place! I don't too my own horn often, but I managed to fend off some very good gamers for the top spot.

Check out the winning run, which should start at 9:29 of the video!

I have highlight some WipEout XL/2097 records in previous episodes. It's a racing series that I enoyed thoroughly in years past as it blends futuristic graphics, tight gameplay, and excellent music soundtracks. I've become quite a fan of the artwork created by fans of the game. Here are a few wallpapers I found on r/WipeOut:

While we eagerly await the November High Score Challenge & Recharged Squad Challenge to get underway, here's the November High Score Challenge over at EverythingC64: Sky Shark! Known as Flying Shark outside of the US, this "vertical scrolling shooter was originally developed by Toaplan in 1987 and releasted by Taito" (per Wikipedia).

The monthly EverythingC64 High Score Challenge is hosted on Discord!
