Friday was good to me. The Atari Jaguar GameGuide book from Zafinn books got delivered. I already have the Lynx version, they are fantastic publications. Looking forward to a good read through tonight.

Karl Morris is an old Atari history friend, I used to enjoy visiting Atari Explorer and he's done a spectacular job with his three books for the Atari ST, Lynx and Jaguar, published under Zafinn Books. I wish we could've always had good books so vibrantly documenting Atari's history, or "Game Guides" when the Lynx and Jaguar were still new. I was joking with Karl about my "Game Guide" I made as a kid for the 2600, 7800 and Lynx and how I also called that "Game Guide".

Karl is an awesome guy, he knows his history and has put together some of the best publications that have ever been released about Atari. I'd put his books right up there with Art of Atari. I'd love to see Karl put out another book diving into the Warner-era of Atari with the 2600, 5200, 7800, and 8-Bit computers.

Yes they are are great books. It's nice we still have things like this in 2024. I wish there were more publications for the Lynx and Jaguar.

All we had was that one Jaguar strategy guide that was printed in black and white and came a bit too late. It's like they didn't want to or didn't know how to generate excitement about the Jaguar when it was released. There should've been launch titles on par with Zelda, Street Fighter, Mario or Sonic, with cool and fun strategy guides to go with them.

The only one I remember was the one @btbfilms76 shows in this video:
