nosweargamer Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 If you listened to ep 19 of my podcast, you already heard this, but since it took so much time to research, I also made a video from it and included a whole bunch of pictures. It goes over the over one hundred year history of Nintendo all the way from the beginning to today in under ten minutes. AlamoAtari Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 I find it interesting that Nintendo kept trying to make partnerships with other companies. It makes sense to share the risk, but my guess the reason why it didn't work out had a lot to go with brand placement, as to who went first. I know that Sony got mad because Nintendo used Phillips CD player at E3 but I'm betting egos played a BIG part.

nosweargamer Posted February 18, 2016 Author Report Posted February 18, 2016 What's interesting to me is that while Nintendo failed with Mattel in the UK, Sega failed with Tonka in the US. Makes you wonder what would've happened if Sega and Nintendo handled most of the work themselves, or what if Atari was handling the NES in the states, as was discussed.
