AlamoAtari Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 Still think if you put the theme song to the TV show to it. It would be epic.
nosweargamer Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 Nice article, but the nerd in me was bothered by this picture. I spotted at least three things wrong The No Swear Gamer on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChtJuo040EOCTVziObIgVcg Host of The Atari 7800 Game by Game Podcast on iTunes, Stitcher and YouTube
louisg Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 I'm still raw that there was never a port or approximation of Monaco GP to the 2600. It would've fit almost exactly into the 2600's limitations! (only one car per line, and could've done smooth road movement using playfields in combination with the missile graphics). Instead we got that terrible Street Racer cart. Also, Enduro should've been a paddle game IMO. Wouldn't that have rocked? (don't get me started on retro racing games cuz I'll never stop)
RickR Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 nd.jpg Nice article, but the nerd in me was bothered by this picture. I spotted at least three things wrong 1. Joystick instead of paddles. 2. No power 3. No rf cable Is that correct?
Arenafoot Posted November 9, 2015 Author Report Posted November 9, 2015 1. Joystick instead of paddles. 2. No power 3. No rf cable Is that correct? Sounds right to me.......... nosweargamer Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 1. Joystick instead of paddles. 2. No power 3. No rf cable Is that correct? Yes! I would have also accepted: 4. Should be a 7800 instead 5. Needs an Atari.io button nearby 6. Should be playing Adventure! <-- [ ] The No Swear Gamer on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChtJuo040EOCTVziObIgVcg Host of The Atari 7800 Game by Game Podcast on iTunes, Stitcher and YouTube

greenween Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 I spent many hours playing Night Driver! "Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime."
RickR Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 A review of driving games...and no Indy 500? Trav-est-y. It's such a travesty, I had to split the word travesty in three parts.
mbergeron Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 Enduro was my jam. Love that game to this day!
RickR Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 I spent many hours playing Night Driver! Same here. Playing Night Driver at night with the the lights off was da bomb.
Arenafoot Posted November 10, 2015 Author Report Posted November 10, 2015 Enduro was my jam. Love that game to this day! No love for Pole Position here?!?!?!? That one was mine....... Bakerman Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 nd.jpg Nice article, but the nerd in me was bothered by this picture. I spotted at least three things wrong Please, enlighten us, I see nothing wrong. though I think that is the European version of the 2600jr if you are thinking it looks different than what you are used too. the Euro 7800 had a large rainbow stripe across the middle too, and probably some other variations from the NTSC versions. "Slugs, he created slugs?...Is this not the work of a complete incompetent? I would have started with Lasers, 8 o'clock, day one."-Evil (Time Bandits) "...burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me..."-theme song (Firefly) "I try to respect him, I really, really do, but he's just such a Smeg-head."-Lister (about Rimmer, Red Dwarf)
Bakerman Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 1. Joystick instead of paddles. 2. No power 3. No rf cable Is that correct? ok, I missed the no paddle thing, but it is just a picture, does it really need all the cables connected to not be "wrong?" "Slugs, he created slugs?...Is this not the work of a complete incompetent? Bakerman Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Wow! I never even knew this game existed! I would have been all over it back then if I knew, I've never seen the box anywhere before! Atari 5200 Guy Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 the Euro 7800 had a large rainbow stripe across the middle too, and probably some other variations from the NTSC versions. My 2600 JR has that large rainbow and I'm in United States. There were two variations but I am sure that both made it to NTSC standards. I think the PAL model has the small rainbow. I'm not sure if they got both rainbow JR models. I think. But, yea...my JR looks like the one pictured.

Atari 5200 Guy Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 I just now noticed something...how is that LadyBug when that game was not released until recently through AtariAge? I'm not dogging or anything but just curious if you might have something that has never been recorded in 2600 history.

Al must have sold #2 thru #70 - even numbers only, there in Portland. I bought it at the 2015 Houston ArcadeExpo 11/13/15 from Al (#72 of 100). After that expo (11/22/15) is when he posted them to the store (odd numbered copies).
