AlamoAtari
They need to just give up on this. Unless it's something that can play intellivision, Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, and colecovision I'm not interested. They can't get new programmers to develop what the RetroVGS, it's all but dead in my opinion. Lost Dragon and StormSurge

MaximumRD
With the RetroVGS "Team" behind it...what could go wrong? Power goes in............ I will believe it when I see it, so far all we got from Mike and the RetroVGS Team is promises, renders, lot's of hype. To be clear Uhm, there is no "involvement" from Coleco, it is just a name now licensed out to the RetroVGS guys lol. They made a deal with River West Brands (a brand acquisition and enterprise development company ) to use the name. It literally is just the name and branding. They acquire and hold IP's for the primary purpose of licensing them, everything else is left up to the licensee. Coming off as if "COLECO" is behind them when in fact there is no Coleco other than an IP and a name does not seem to be starting off on the right foot with me, whatever, we'll see I guess. I would love to be proven wrong and see something actually come of this BUT I suspect a repeat of the RetroVGS fiasco StormSurge, Rowsdower70 and Lost Dragon 3 Quote I am Rob aka MaximumRD aka OldSchoolRetroGamer and THIS is my world http://about.me/maximumrd "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. leolinden
Seriously?! This is the best way they could have revived this! In other words don't get too excited yet I know, I'm excited to see the console, but it seems with "Kickstarter" and "NYC Toy Fair" on the pic, I'm guessing they have a working prototype and maybe some investor who would help them get to a point for a Kickstarter (explains how they got the name and made a prototype quickly) Quote Retro obsessed dude

Dan Iacovelli
I think retrovgs should follow zeinth's tv old slogan before announcing the product: The Quality goes in before the Name goes on. this is what maxrd is saying in general since they only have the name before the actual quality went in MaximumRD 1 Quote AVC Online:atari-video.club VGS website: http://videogamesummit.net

MaximumRD
It's almost like they just grabbed whatever name they could get their hands on that had some retro market relevance and slapped the name on it. THAT would be a lot closer to reality than what many are already being fooled into thinking............... In the end I would LOVE to be proven totally wrong but I have eyes and ears all over and from my experience if I were a betting man I would NOT be putting any money on the odds of anything substantial coming of this. I think retrovgs should follow zeinth's tv old slogan before announcing the product: The Quality goes in before the Name goes on. this is what maxrd is saying in general since they only have the name before the actual quality went in Well put. People who are gobbling this up have no understanding of what these guys have done prior (or are missing much of the story) you we hear much hype, a lot of talk and discussion but in the end well...........wake me up when it can be purchased with some games and real support....... AlamoAtari
I seen some reviews of the changes already, and many are not happy about it. They ditched the 9pin controller ports for USB ports, can you find adaptators, yes, but that ruins the nostalgia a bit. They have this WIIU clone controller with it, um how is that retro? now the name, when I think Coleco and video games, I think of colecovision, so they better be able to play those games. Otherwise the cabbage patch kids will rise from the dump and we will have an apocalypse that would make the gremlins look like the smurfs. Seriously, this thing needs to knock it out of the park at the New York toy show, or these clowns need to change their name to Buffalo Bob and Clarabell. This is quickly moving to the snake oil vaporware. If I'm out of line, I am sorry.
