RickR Posted December 20, 2015 Report Share Posted December 20, 2015 Does anyone remember the King Tut frenzy during the 70's, fueled by the museum show that 7 lucky US cities got to experience? I think it was '76 -> '79, and I remember going to the show in Seattle, WA. I've seen other similar shows since then, but none had the best artifacts like that 70's show. What sparked my memory was this article about the colorization of the original Howard Carter excavation photos from 1923. These pictures are just fascinating to me. Colorizing them brings them to life...feels like I am there. I still have (packed away somewhere in storage) a clear green crystal pyramid souvenir from that exhibit.
