Quick fix for non working controller ports

My 5200 controller port 1 was not working and I determined that the actual controller port on the 5200 was the problem. Believe it or not, the actual 5200 controller was working fine. 


The fix was to open up the 5200 and swap the mux chip that controls controller port one with the one that controls controller port 4. There are four Mux chips that control the signals for each port. By swapping the bad chip that was controlling port 1 with the mux chip that was controlling port 4, I was able to solve the problem.


The good news is I now have a working port 1. The bad news is now port 4 is dead. I doubt I will ever have port 4 in use so it is probably a non issue.
