Welcome to our 4th Squad Challenge! Pinball is a very early game for Nintendo Entertainment System, and was a launch title for the system in the U.S. Pinball is a simple NES game with rudimentary graphics and a lack of big effects. However, Pinball’s simplicity leads to some very fun gameplay and can become quite addicting once you get into it! Pinball is an easy going game compared to our last Squad Challenge game Kaboom! Pinball also has that “early Nintendo feel” to the game, and features an appearance from our old friend Mario! NES Pinball is about skill, strategy, and sheer luck.

Something odd happens once you pass 100,000 points, so watch out! Do you have what it takes to become our Squad Pinball Champion?

I hope all of you have a good time, and remember this is for "nerd cred" and meant to be fun for all! You have until 11:59 pm PST January 31st, 2016 to complete this challenge and successfully submit your score. A ROM and Instruction Book are included below. GOOD LUCK, SQUAD!

Some nice scores here!  I hope to throw a better score up, but this is my best so far. That e-reader is really cool, BTW

Nice score!!  I use to have an e-reader a long time ago (shortly after they made it to market) with Excitebike and a couple of other titles.  They are neat and I kick myself in the rear every time I think about parting with them.

Yikes, you guys are putting up great scores. Plus I had no idea there was any Princess rescuing in this game. I have a lot of work to do, it's going to take a half hour just to swipe all the e-reader cards. :)

Well actually, it is just good ole Pauline from Donkey Kong. Apparently after failing to rescue her, Mario decided it would be easier to rescue princesses instead. Rumor has it she is still stuck in the dreaded Nintendo Pinball machine to this day! :o

I did this to my Nintendo, plus did the mod to bypass that pesky lockout chip :)
