Rowsdower70 4,513 Report post Posted January 30, 2016 I must have had a million of these, and even some of the vehicles. Mixing and matching parts, the futuristic look, weapons that fired....these were great times. 7 DeLorean, Atari Adventure Square, Arenafoot and 4 others reacted to this

Atari Adventure Square 506 Report post Posted January 31, 2016 Good stuff! The Micronauts universe seemed to drop in from the skies, out of nowhere, borne of the collective heart of young geeks worldwide. We were enamored by comic book storytelling, where imagination is the limit. Practical-sized action figures were beginning to sprout up everywhere. The future was getting brighter, lit up by computerized neo-reality. The Micronauts captured all of this with a terrific Marvel comic book, ingenious figures with mix-n-match parts, a glitzy modern look that remains impressive to this day. I had a few figures, though none of the larger vehicles. Had the Baron Karza, Time Traveler and a few others. Loved the Bug character in the comic, though he never appeared as a figure. Yeah, these were ahead of their time. These guys apparently killed sales of TRON figures, though they were on sheleves for a few years before the movie ever came out. Like Rom the Space Knight, this is one comic/toy franchise I wouldn't mind seeing revived, in full motion (live or animated) or imaged format. 3 Rowsdower70, Lost Dragon and MaximumRD reacted to this

Originally known as a purveyor of dime store toys,[3] in 1971 the company shifted direction and became famous for producing licensed action figures (including the long-running "World's Greatest Super Heroes" line), celebrity dolls, and the Micronauts toy line. For a time in the 1970s, their line of 8-inch-scale action figures with interchangeable bodies became the industry standard.
