Justin Posted February 13, 2016 Author Report Share Posted February 13, 2016 Here's my score: 26,553. I made it halfway through the game but never found any weapons other than the Energy Sword. Did anybody find the Sonic Blaster or the Particle Beam? In The Legend of Zelda you shoot arrows across the screen at bad guys, or with full life your sword will shoot across the screen as well. I would love to be able to do that in this game, but you can't achieve that sort of reach without the Sonic Blaster or Particle Beam. I found the key on Station 2 and used it (about the 4 min mark in the video). It took me to a room where I battled a "Machine". Once I killed him there was something on the screen that said "Extra" which I grabbed. It gave me 1,000 pts and a purple staircase opened up. But I never saw another weapon. I feel like I could get a lot further in the game if I had a Sonic Blaster or Particle Beam. I'll have to spend more time on Station 3. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Justin Posted February 14, 2016 Author Report Share Posted February 14, 2016 I went back through and found the Sonic Blaster on Station 3. I remember using the blaster when I was young but I haven't played Secret Quest in a few years and haven't used the Sonic Blaster recently. I have to say, I didn't find the Sonic Blaster to be very advantageous. The "sonic blast" from the gun doesn't shoot all the way across the screen (I'm guessing that's what the Particle Beam does) and frankly doesn't travel very far. It's also slow and poses more of a challenge to time. Maybe I need more practice, but I did much better with the Energy Sword and found it easier to control. I played through four games where I was able to find the Sonic Blaster and wasn't able to top my existing high score. Blasters are tricky Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
