RickR Posted February 23, 2016 Report Posted February 23, 2016 Post pics of your random items that inexplicably have woodgrain for no good reason. GO! I'll start with this....an electric pencil sharpener...with woodgrain. A lovely dark, rich woodgrain. And bonus -- the fake wooodgrain laminate table. I inherited that from my parents, and it's probably 45 years old. My family thinks that table could survive a nuclear blast. Lost Dragon, jmjustin6, AtariBrian and 3 others 6 Quote

RickR Posted February 24, 2016 Author Report Posted February 24, 2016 Check out this pong machine. Dang it...someone scratched the woodgrain! Look at what a nice match it is for the teak tabletop. Sexy! Lost Dragon, MaximumRD and jmjustin6 3 Quote

RickR Posted September 21, 2016 Author Report Posted September 21, 2016 Look at this beauty of a stapler. You can bet your buns I'm throwing out my modern plastic one. "Woody" is now the designated stapler in this house. Lost Dragon and jmjustin6 2 Quote
Clint Thompson Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 I figured that this one would have been considered a given but still.... ;-) Not sure if this really counts but my old 1994 Subaru SVX interior with faux woodgrain: Lost Dragon and RickR 2 Quote 7800 - 130XE - XEGS - Lynx - Jaguar - ISO: Atari Falcon030 | STBook |STe
MaximumRD Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 Well this is fun. Was not sure it counted but the dressers, stands and night table are all definitely not wood but particle board coated with a plastic faux woodgrain, I actually have a couple wooden dressers so took me a second to realize the difference. The tables / stand / dressers I guess I cannot claim they were made to appear wooden for no reason, clearly it was done to appear we had better furniture than one could actually afford but I included them anyway as I don't think I had given much thought to how many things we had that still had this style. My particle board Bedroom dresser (wife's is actually wood) An old stand from my single days now stuck in corner of bedroom holding my "extras" Old Stereo system / TV stand (The sides would have been for record albums) now holds all the plush toys my wife has collected over the years. One of two night tables. Of COURSE the obligatory Clock Radio (mines a GE lol) My two 2600 woody's Lastly, this is my vanilla 5200 VCS adaptor (I have a second that was modded for stand alone use) and I was board and had a little woodgrain Mak Tak so....yeah....... RickR Posted October 10, 2016 Author Report Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) How about this Montgomery Ward mini-fridge? I bought this baby as a freshman in college. For the past umpteen years, it's served as my garage fridge for adult beverages and such. And random stickers end up here for some unknown reason. Live long and prosper, Monkey Ward's fridge.
