RickR Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) I remember those, but have never owned one. I think they are totally awesome! If they make new ones, I'll be all over that.I have a meager collection of the old Mattel Electronics handheld games. Basketball, baseball, football, etc. Edited December 30, 2014 by RickR Arenafoot and greenween 2 Quote

RickR Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 They re-made the Mattel games a few years back, and I must say, they were excellent. They added a volume slider, which was a huge improvement. Still, I like my originals much better. Arenafoot, StormSurge and greenween 3 Quote
greenween Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 Me too. $60 would seem a bit steep to me. Can get a nice original for the same or less. Arenafoot 1 Quote "Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime."

greenween Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Did anyone else have the somewhat round, yellow Pac Man?? It was pretty decent! Arenafoot 1 Quote "Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime."
Arenafoot Posted January 7, 2015 Author Report Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) Did anyone else have the somewhat round, yellow Pac Man?? It was pretty decent! Sure do!!!! CIB TomyTronic Pac-Man handheld............. that same year (Christmas 1980) I actually asked for the Entex Pac Man 2 handheld......I remember going to K-Mart with my mom and asking them for it (since I had seen it there for sale before-hand) and the employee talking her that they were recalled due to a licensing issue over the "Pac Man" name. So I ended up with the Tomy version instead. UNTIL 1998 and I bought one off of eBay complete but with no box! Posted a high score on the emulation version of the TonyTronic Pac Man here........ http://highscore.com/scores/DedicatedHandheldEmulated/TomyTronicPacMan/8066 Edited January 7, 2015 by arenafoot greenween 1 Quote Brian Matherne - owner/curator of "The MOST comprehensive list of Atari VCS/2600 homebrews ever compiled." http://tiny.cc/Atari2600Homebrew author of "The Atari 2600 Homebrew Companion" book series available on Amazon! www.amazon.com/author/brianmatherne

marigul Posted February 7, 2017 Report Posted February 7, 2017 I have a pacman but the battery box is rusted out When I worked at MGA we ripped off the concept with our Classic Arcade assortment...It didn't do so well but now I see other vendors with their versions...sucks to be ahead of the curve!
