RickR
I'm really trying to snag a 2600 Popeye cart... kind of embarrassed when I went to play it to give feedback for Ferg's podcast and it wasn't on my shelf Does this seem reasonable or overpriced? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Popeye-Atari-2600-Video-Game-Cartridge-1983-Parker-Brothers-Tested-Works/202172848233?epid=56238455&hash=item2f1270d869:g:0dMAAOSwmOJZ7NPA If someone has one on here available for sale or trade just let me know, thanks! I've got an extra "Amidar", but no Popeye I think that one is priced fine. Free shipping makes it good. Maybe a touch high, but it looks to be in nice condition. I was thinking 5 dollars was a good limit, but the only ones in that range have messed up labels. I don't see it turn up in the local retro shops too much either so that's a factor. Thanks! jmjustin6
Bought a lynx battery pack off eBay. Takes 6 D batteries. Ive never seen a battery pack that needed batteries put in. Ive only seen rechargeable battery packs like the gamegear one. Also it looks like this thing hooks to your belt, but the cable doesnt seem long enough to reach from my waist to my hands. RickR
I would guess that "D" batteries will last a lot longer than AA's. In my case, putting that many D batteries on my belt would definitely cause some droopy pants! jmjustin6

Yea i was hoping that it could attach to the lynx somehow like the gamegear one screws in the back

RickR
I've been finding some nice deals on the bay lately. Also on the way: Lynx "Batman Returns", 2600 "James Bond 007" and "Ikari Warriors". jmjustin6 and Starbuck66
RickR
A couple of R5 2600 games. James Bond has no label, but I don't care much. I buy 'em to play 'em! The Ikari Warriors was sealed...until I opened it! Same reasoning. jmjustin6 and Justin
jmjustin6
Well not from ebay but from mercari. This has been on my want list for years now. I would say a holy grail item for me. I always saw them on ebay but they were a little too high for my liking. Anyway i got a good deal on this one because the end of the RF cable is chewed off. But i asked ricks help and hopefully it should be an easy fix. Im off friday and i will open this bad boy up and figure it out. Any insight from you all would be great. Man im excited to see this thing work! Edited September 20, 2018 by jmjustin6 Justin and RickR

jmjustin6
I bought a sega game gear box and inserts off ebay. It wasnt in the best shape (I knew that when I bought it) so I messaged the guy asking if he could take some precautions in the shipping department and package it nicely. here is what I got. He used a cut box and wrapped it around the game gear box. I will say that it doesnt loom too much worse than what it looked like on ebay but I mean come on. This is just horrible packaging and why I normally try to stay away from buying from unknown people. StormSurge
Atari 5200 Guy
That GG box looks like it got some water damage. @RickR Yep. A 2600 with all the essentials. Ms. Pac-Man, too! That Super Mario Land looks like it's from a different region. Japanese version? jmjustin6

Man im excited to see this thing work! I would get a spare 2600 RF cable, take the console apart, and see if that would work. I'm not familiar with the console so I don't know if they soldered the other end on or did like Atari did with the 2600 and had a RCA jack soldered on the board. That would be my suggestion and by far the cheapest solution.

jmjustin6
So this is pretty cool. It's a parker brothers atari 2600 kiosk. It's in the UK though. Wonder what it will sell for when it ends https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F143431275851 Edited November 4, 2019 by jmjustin6
LeeJ07
This arrived in the mail today. I look forward to exploring the more unusual side of Nintendo once everything gets settled again. A question: Is American voltage too high for the Famicom? Will I burn it out if I plug it into any outlet? Quote "I'd buy that for a dollar!" -Smash T.V.
