AtariBrian
I just finished installing this mod http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intellivision-A-V-Composite-Video-Mod-Kit-NTSC-PAL-DIY-/181043125890?hash=item2a2702de82:m:mbes0pqdz5IjuAStnRcNe2Q The picture is so beautiful! The guy seems to be a good dude and makes a great product. I years ago bought the video mod for the 2600 that is actual stereo and that thing works great also (except only combat seems to be in stereo). I also got one for the colecovision, that is next on the table. His ebay name is retro_mood and he sells from turkey, has anyone else dealt with him before? AHH MY INTELLIVISION LOOKS SOOOO GOOD!! RickR
Thanks for sharing who you bought from. It's good to have a reference from someone you trust. I'm considering doing this for a 2600. I've looked through the instructions, and I think I can do it. But what's your opinion on the difficultly level?
AtariBrian
Thanks for sharing who you bought from. It's good to have a reference from someone you trust. I'm considering doing this for a 2600. I've looked through the instructions, and I think I can do it. But what's your opinion on the difficultly level? the 2600 one was tougher, it was years ago, but I remember actually cutting traces on the board and removing the rf unit. But that was a different guys stuff that I did to one 2600 and my 7800 modded with this guys stuff http://www.vintagegamingandmore.com/store/. I did my 4 switch vader with the guy from turkeys mod, but I don't remember if it was as hard as the one that I put the link in here for. Check out both guys how too's. The hardest part of the coleco and the intellivision is getting the shielding off because it is soldered on at what feels like a million different places. I'm working on a gemini for a friend to get it up and running, I keep testing it on the tv with the rf and I could never go back.
