MalakZero
So , there was a power outage months back that took place while I was gaming on 7800. I'd be fibbing if I said I wasn't worried about the condition of my 7800. When the power came back on, the unit powered on and played games , but they were all in monochrome and had no sound. I fiddled with the switches and eventually it went back to normal. Still have no clue why this happened or why/how it was fixed, but I thought I'd share. Has this happened to any of my fellow 7800 owners? "Mmmrrrrrrhhhh.....game.....gooooood....."
Atari 5200 Guy
If you have one you might try a different power supply. Also, if you handy at taking things apart, check any capacitors on the board close to the power jack on the system. When your power came back on it is possible you system might have got a surge it couldn't handle. So I would check those areas for any flawed components first. So far, its only happened when I used the newer power supply I ordered from atariguide, years back. I've noticed when this glitch happens (which isn't very often) that changing the channel switch seems to correct the problem. Its more of a weird anomaly than a deal breaker.
