jmjustin6 Posted July 13, 2016 Report Posted July 13, 2016 Im mainly talking about the full size ones. Not the small ones that came with the games. I found these 2 today at a local comic book shop and i know if i keep looking at the shop i will find more. Whats the story with these. The owner of the shop didnt know much, but he says "i think they were trying to give back stories to the atari games so they made these comic books" is he right? I will probably read these 2 comics tonight and find out
RickR Posted July 13, 2016 Report Posted July 13, 2016 I've looked for these, but never really found any to buy. That's a GREAT find. I think at the time that Atari and DC were both Warner companies...so they did this as a form of "Synergy". I'm pretty sure the Atari Force comics only ran for a few years.
Ballblaɀer Posted July 13, 2016 Report Posted July 13, 2016 My understanding is that there are only very thin connections between these comics and any Atari games. The most comprehensive website about the Atari Force comics that I know of is this one. And here's the related FAQ.
Atari 5200 Guy Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 Nope. Never knew of those. The only one I have is one that came with Centipede. Awesome find!!
Arenafoot Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 I only have the small ones............. #1, #3, #4, Centipede, & Swordquest #2.
