Fire_In_The_Valley
Guys, Joystiq is about to become history. AOL is planning to close its decade-old video game publication, Joystiq, in the coming weeks as part of a plan to jettison "underperforming content properties," Recode reports, citing multiple sources familiar with the plans. Kara Swisher of Recode has been all over this. Joystiq commented on their own site "Sources tell Joystiq that the staff is aware of the closure, but corporate hasn't officially told them, so they are unable to acknowledge anything out of concern that it will cause immediate shutdown," the post reads. "We've reached out for more information. We will update, as we always have, when we know more." Good luck guys. And fond farewell
