I'm totally cool with that, although I find there are several gamers who look at you weird if you don't always agree with their opinions and sometimes even take it personally. It's sad that that happens sometimes.

Yea, like I think I'm about the only person who like Jungle Hunt better than Pitfall.   I know I'm an oddity.

I could see how someone would prefer Jungle Hunt, as it offers more variety in a sense.

I could see someone liking Pitfall! more. It's a bit more complex and almost like an adventure. The memorization involved and the time limit have always kept me from enjoying it as much as I could have. I like the sequel a bit more. Have you thought about reviewing that one anytime soon, @nosweargamer?

It's funny you mention that, because getting all of the treasures was one of the most satisfy game experiences I ever had, mostly because of all the work that was involved, lol. It's a good thing I liked playing the game so much!

As for the sequel, I'm not super familiar with it,  but I have it and do plan to review it one day.

@nosweargamer It reminds me of Metroid sort of. Like a precursor. Great sound track, too; I'm pretty sure it has POKEY.  I'd love to get my hands on the physical cart someday.

Actually it used the Display Processor Chip or DPC, which was made by David Crane. DPC is also his intials.

Really? Thanks for telling me! I guess now that I think about it it doesn't really sound like POKEY. I guess you learn something new every day!

But really, you should review the game. Review Super Metroid, too. :)

Yup, Super Metroid is another game I want to review. Truth be told, I probably have anywhere from 500-1000 games in my collection I want to review (phew)

I've been trying to get my friend to play Super Metroid, but he just refuses to. He's got Switch Online, so he has no excuse not to. He's a big fan of Metroidvania games like Hollow Knight, so he should at least give it a try. It just infuriates me.

Seeing your Pitfall! walkthrough video a few months ago was when I learned for the first time that the goal of the game was to collect all the treasure and that there was an end to the game 😮 🤯 💥

Hey, @nosweargamer, do you have rankings of your 7800 games somewhere on this site?

Hmm. I don't think I do. That reminds me of a project I want to finish. Let me get back to you on that.

Yeah, as a kid, I had no idea you could do that, or that the tunnels work as shortcuts.

@nosweargamer A project you say? Is this a secret project (shhh)?

SSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Actually, it's something I've been meaning to do for a while, but your post inspired me to take it off of the back burner. I'll try to have it finished within a week.

Ok then! Let's stay hush-hush about it until it's done! Be sure to post it somewhere! And remember:

SHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Thanks! I will have to pick some of these up. 40 were ranked higher than the only game I own currently (Pole Position II), so I'd better start saving up! But seriously, thanks. This is a great resource for brand-new 7800 collectors like myself. Now if I could only get this stubborn controller clean...

On an unrelated note, I've never much cared for Robotron 2084. It has always seemed empty without the maze element to it. Almost mindless. In Berzerk there is more strategy with Evil Otto, the mazes, the robots, and your inability to fire multiple shots.
