Circus Atari
Atari 2600
Controller: PADDLE CONTROLLER, PLAYER'S CHOICE
Difficulty Level: Game 2, Difficulty B

Achieve high score to win challenge
Play on: Real Hardware / Dedicated Console / Emulation OK! ✔

Squad Challenge ends 11:59 pm PST April 30th, 2018

Objective: Play for the highest possible score using the difficulty settings defined in the challenge. Post a photo or video of your score in this thread. Scores must be achieved between April 4th through April 30th, 2018. Screen captures are not allowed as they are easily manipulated for falsified scores. Multiple submissions are permitted. The player with the highest score at the end of the competition is the victor!

Eligibility: Anyone can join in. All players are welcome!

Play Rules: Games may be played on real hardware or emulation, using any controller or keyboard, following rules and game settings as delineated in the Squad Challenge. Enhancements and hacked versions of this game are not allowed.

Difficulty Level: Game 2, Difficulty B. Game 2 is like Game 1 (default game), except the play field has an additional wall of barriers added below the balloons, which makes the game more difficult. Setting the Difficulty Switch in the B position gives you better control of the clowns because they are not moving quite as fast.

Fair Play: Players should play fairly, be honest, and have fun! Falsified scores will result in your immediate removal from the site. It goes without saying that no use of cheats, hacks, cartridge frying, enhancements, Photoshop, subterfuge, or any other unfair advantage is allowed. Everybody hates a cheater.

Welcome to our 39th Squad Challenge! Circus Atari is one of the earlier releases for the Atari 2600 and is a nice twist on the classic PONG / Breakout theme. Killing clowns with teeter-totters is a lot of fun! The graphics are basic, even by 2600 standards, but gameplay is challenging and addictive. Especially if you like Breakout-type games. Enjoy!

Wow! I haven't hit 1,000 yet! LOL

I played ita LOT when it first came out ... switching end of the tetter-totter when you think it's going to the outside helps even if he bounces off the starting spring board.

you'd think if one guy landed on the other they would BOTH get all "stove-up"
