jmjustin6
Ok so ive got this ps one portable screen and i got it from a friend about a year ago and it worked great when i got it but now its broken. At first i thought it was junked. I was getting sound but no picture but someone suggested i put a flashlight uo to the screen and i can barely see a picture. So the back light has gone out. I have been told the mod is easy and parts are cheap but i know nothing about soldering and what not. So would anyone here be able to help me? RickR
I think by the time you ship both ways to someone and pay for their time, you are better off just buying another one. The other suggestion is to find someone local to you that can fix it without shipping. For a broken back-light, you end up replacing the entire screen in my experience. jmjustin6
Ok si i found a video on how to take apart this thing and it looks like its just 2 plugs need to be removed to take the screen out. Is that all i need to do? Just het a replacement screen? Sounds easy enough really. Am i missing something?
RickR
Probably is that easy...but I'm not so sure it will be easy to find the right screen that has the same connector and size. You are going to need a part number at least. Have you found that in your searches?Taking these things apart takes a lot of patience. A lot of the screws are hidden. jmjustin6
