MaximumRD
Sweet Electronics Recycling find ! But will they work? Was stunned to find these but they sat for hours in sub zero temps so I waited for them to warm up. My usual ramble, feel free to forward to about 4 min 50 sec to see what I found. I hook them up, cross my fingers and ....well check it out. While you are at it be sure to check out the channels I mentioned as well! MaximumRD
😮😎😜I found an iPhone 4. THE VIDEO IS VERY JUMPING ONLY BECAUSE I USED AN OLDER FACEBOOK APP TO RECORD IT - Found in recycling, amazingly no lock screen pin set so I reset, updated to iOS 7 and will use as an iPod. MaximumRD
😂🤔New quick video ! Looking through some loose NES cartridges I noticed this name written on with permanent marker, so being late at night I thought I would upload this quick little video asking "Did YOU ever write your name on your cartridges?" - As collectors we often come across them, often research how to remove them but I did make me think about how people did this, sometimes it was kids who did not know better and would mark everything they owned in some fashion, maybe because we did not think of decreasing value or ever parting with our precious games? I sometimes wonder about the people who owned them previously, why they sold or traded them etc. 😎🍻 nosweargamer 1 Quote I am Rob aka MaximumRD aka OldSchoolRetroGamer and THIS is my world http://about.me/maximumrd "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. MaximumRD
Checking out yet another arcade in my travels. nosweargamer
I was just there about a month and a half ago! My room key and arcade card were still in my wallet, lol (The games don't take cash, you had to use a card you load up. And the games were about $1-$2 per play) It's definitely small and hidden, easy to miss. But wow, they already changed it up a bit! When I went, they had no ticket games or redemption kiosk. They also had a couple more arcade games: Pac Man Battle Royale & a modern Terminator light gun game. My wife and I tried the Typhoon ride, but it was so jittery, we stopped it before it finished. Not much fun, at least the one we picked (a paper airplane I think), but at least they give you the option to stop in the middle (no refund of course). My wallet actually fell out of my pocket during the ride and I had to go back to find it after we left. My son just had to try those "win an expensive prize with one play" games. I tried to talk him out of it, but he learned the hard way that they are near impossible to win. Oh, and Cooters is one of the best places to visit in the area! They also have a nice mall nearby (no arcade though iirc). It has a wax museum that I wanted to visit, but we didn't have the time. It's probably one of the healthiest malls around these days. Cooters was awesome! Better than I expected, planning to upload a video about it once we return home. Checking out the mall tommorrow, highlights have been downtown, Fleet street brirish pub, Woolworth on 5th (location of historic sit in by black college students for civil rights) and BB kings blues club! LOVED NASHVILLE and was my personal first exposure to southern hospitality. Sadly our week is up soon and we leave early Sat morning to head back home. nosweargamer 1 Quote I am Rob aka MaximumRD aka OldSchoolRetroGamer and THIS is my world http://about.me/maximumrd "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. MaximumRD
Rambling on about silly comics I made 35+ years ago. Rambling on about silly comics I made 35+ years ago. I was not going to post originally as it did not come out as well as I had hoped and I did not feel spending the time to do it over, so I been sitting on it for weeks, I WAS going to upload unlisted just to share privately but I decided %!#$& it, since I don't do many videos anymore I give people the choice to watch or not, anyway here is the video along with the title and description - 😆Rambling on about silly comics I made 35+ years ago. 🍻My old friend TONY sent me some comics I made with friends from 1982, so I would have been 13. Crazy stuff, I was not very good but see my reaction to reliving the memories and fun I have telling stories about these comics and art I made so long ago. Just reliving some memories, having some laughs, nothing serious here, mostly posted for my friends and family so don't feel obligated to sit through it all! BUT if you have nothing better to do and are interested in my silly little stories, throw it on and have a laugh. 😎 Justin 1 Quote I am Rob aka MaximumRD aka OldSchoolRetroGamer and THIS is my world http://about.me/maximumrd "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. MaximumRD
Jabbering on about first snowfall, decorations, secure PC disposal. Just off the top of my head, unplanned, decided to take video while I do my rounds out in the first real snowfall here this winter. Somehow I get onto the topic of PC security and secure disposal of computers. NOTE: a resident approaches near the end hence my change in attitude. If that 360 has HDMI port then you have the model where the RRoD issues was to be fixed. You shouldn't have been getting that from what plagued the original run of 360s. What you might do is shake it to see if you hear anything rattling around in it. It's possible that the spring that holds the flaps to the memory card and USB ports might have found a way inside it causing the problem. The black 360 controller you found actually goes to the 360 model I own. You have a 360 Premium edition, mine is just like that except all black called the Elite model. Your hard drive is most likely a 20 Gig as that was the smallest you could get at the time...and the only one for a while. Then came the 60, 120, and 250. We have XBOX Live Arcade to thank for the increase in disk drive sizes. I'm using a 20 GB and I barely have room for about 2 large games (about 5 GB per game) and a few smaller games. Even with all the problems it had originally the 360 has a LOT of great games besides Halo. Borderlands series, Forza, Sniper Elite V2, Farming Simulators, geez...I could go on and on. I still have my original XBOX as well that I still use quite often...it just depends on which game I'm in the mood to play. I just realized the date of this post. Is that XBOX still working? If it ever fails please don't toss it out...I'll gladly give it a home. Justin and MaximumRD

If I ever did that I probably wouldn't have received another game cartridge ever again. Mom said when I got my 5200 to take care of it...and to me that meant it was not a drawing pad nor were the games we got for it. So, no, I never put my name on them. I didn't even write scores on the back of most manuals set aside for such things. MaximumRD and Justin
MaximumRD
Quick Electronics Bin check on a rainy December day! MaximumRD
😮😎Recently I had the luck of winning a very special prize from YouTuber Blaine Locklair ! Check out Blaine's Channel for the best in Restoration, Repairs and Mods HERE:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc16nxCRvhba37wzU2eVS2Q !!!! WARNING !!!! Expect my usual babbling and going off in tangents during my video, I do eventually get around to the "unveiling" but if you want to get right to that skip to around the 6 min 40 sec mark. I was so excited, happy and grateful when Blaine messaged to inform me of winning this prize which is not only an amazing addition to my gaming collection but actually something that I have never played let alone owned. Atari 5200 Guy
Hehe. I got one PS3 game. ModRacers. When I was hunting for 360 games in the under $10 bin at GameStop ModRacers, complete, was in there for $3. I don't have a PS3 now but I had an 80 GB model almost a decade ago. Loved it but sold it. Needed money. But I remembered playing a demo of it and enjoyed it. I especially liked the track design feature. So I grabbed it hoping I'll get another PS3 someday. I'm still waiting LOL. MaximumRD
Well today I finally got some time with the modded PS3 and everything went great! Installed and updated LAST OF US and Max Payne 3 onto my modded PS3 Hard drive (Thanks JAKE !) and after watching a tutorial video on Youtube I transferred the game Silent Hill Homecoming (I had previously been playing it in an PS3 emulator) from USB stick to the PS3 HDD, everything running and working great! That will keep me going for sometime! After just starting the first level of Max Payne 3 it is clear I am going to have to get use to the controls, my reflexes are not what they use to be! HERE is a quick picture I took transferring a original retail game to the internal PS3 Hard drive, took like 45 min but I guess copying 40 gb from a BluRay is going to be like that. Well worth the end result though as the game installed and I was even able to update it once it was on the internal drive. Having a modded PS3 definitely rocks !update Justin 1 Quote I am Rob aka MaximumRD aka OldSchoolRetroGamer and THIS is my world http://about.me/maximumrd "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life.
