leolinden Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 My cousins had one that they never used so they gave it to me! I'll be posting videos about the Dreamcast too now! Retro obsessed dude
greenween Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 That's awesome! Any games with it? "Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime."
RickR Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 Dreamcast is a fantastic system. You are on your way to an awesome collection.
leolinden Posted April 26, 2015 Author Report Posted April 26, 2015 They had one game. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, but I am going to find some more games. Retro obsessed dude
RickR Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 Crazy Taxi is a good one. And the 2K sports games, if you like that kind of thing. There's even an Atari collection for Dreamcast!
Arenafoot Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 Crazy Taxi is a good one. I heard the same thing too! Last November I bought Crazy Taxi for PC CD for $3 at 2nd and Charles Beaumont - although I haven't tried it yet. leolinden Posted April 26, 2015 Author Report Posted April 26, 2015 Crazy taxi?!?! I love the arcade version of that! Right now, I'm trying to burn the Half Life port that was leaked and play it. Retro obsessed dude
RickR Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 It's really good. Hydro Thunder too. Also good on Dreamcast. Jet Grind Radio. It's all coming back now.
LeeJ07 Posted May 1, 2015 Report Posted May 1, 2015 I have a Dreamcast that I won online, but have never been able to hook it up to a tv. "I'd buy that for a dollar!" -Smash T.V.
Jayson_B24 Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Typing of the Dead was an oddball released for that system. ???? Atlas was permitted the opinion that he was at liberty, if he wished, to drop the Earth and creep away; but this opinion was all that he was permitted. Franz Kafka
Rowsdower70 Posted June 6, 2015 Report Posted June 6, 2015 Dreamcast games can be a little hard to come by, but some can still be had on the cheap! I picked up 3 or 4 here recently for about 10 bucks. Wild Metal, Rainbow 6, Marine Fishing, and Ultimate Fighting Championship. I had a customer asking for them. Have fun with that one, thats a system I wouldn't mind owning. "For you - Rowsdower from the 70 - have been appointed Omnivisioner of the Game Grid." ~ Atari Adventure Square
LeeJ07 Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 From what I've read online about the Dreamcast, it was an amazing system. "I'd buy that for a dollar!" -Smash T.V.
Arenafoot Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 From what I've read online about the Dreamcast, it was an amazing system. same here.....maybe one day.......... StormSurge Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 They make pretty good emulators too. http://www.zophar.net/consoles/dreamcast.html

StormSurge Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 Me too, but I'm missing a bunch of my games, including Shenmue, which I would love to revisit.

Arenafoot Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 I just found out this is an actual thing for the Dreamcast................ Brian Matherne - owner/curator of "The MOST comprehensive list of Atari VCS/2600 homebrews ever compiled." http://tiny.cc/Atari2600Homebrew author of "The Atari 2600 Homebrew Companion" book series available on Amazon! www.amazon.com/author/brianmatherne
StormSurge Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Someone had to make that, right? (Meaning a fan, this isn't something that was commercially available)BTW, it works great. I think I still have my boot disk floating around somewhere. That's one of the main reasons I held on to my DC.
Arenafoot Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 I'm guessing so. The CD does look like its homemade with that inkjet label on the disc. MaximumRD Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 I just found out this is an actual thing for the Dreamcast................ Oh yeah tons of emulators, homebrew, BOR mods, unreleased games available for Dreamcast to download and burn and yes some people adorn them with nicely printed labels / inserts, I am Rob aka MaximumRD aka OldSchoolRetroGamer and THIS is my world http://about.me/maximumrd "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday." - M. Bison
Yo-Yo Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Yeah those are really popular. Dreamcast is the king of emulation consoles.
StormSurge Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Can you guys recommend a good resource for these? I'd rather rely on you guys than the Googles. I haven't had any success with a MAME emulator on my Mac so if I could get a good one for the Dreamcast, that would be ideal.
