It's time to nominate games for us to play in in 2020! We had a lot of fun in High Score Squad this year, and I'm thinking about the year to come. What games do you want to see in High Score Squad for 2020? Post your suggestions below!

LOL..as long as it's games I physically own I'm down for any thing.

Hmm...I just picked up some Star Wars games for the 2600 this Christmas.  You might think about considering Pinball Arcade or the Pinball Hall of Fame series (both made by the same people).  Once a month they pick a table for players to play for free.

Hmm...include Atari Flavors of Dig Dug, Galaga, Commando, Kangaroo, Vanguard...there's tons there.

I would love to see some arcade games. I'm sure most of has have access to MAME. Mostly because of the nature of the arcade game, high scores, and easy to pick up quickly. Plus, for the most part, I think we all love the classic arcade games. :)

This is just a thought, I don't know. What about "Moonsweeper," for the A2600? It is an early 3D shooter with great perspective. I got it recently from one of the people from Atari.io (I had it once before, but it got stolen or lost). That is a really cool game. It is from 1982, and at the game over screen, it plays "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" when you are dead. Aside from that, it is pretty fun. Imagic created it. Great programmers from that era. :)

A lot of amazing talent from back in the days.  It still amazes me how many people it takes to make a modern game compared to the Atari, Coleco, and Intellivision games from back then.  Borderlands was made with only 3 to 6 people as an indie game.  Borderlands 3 was made with a team of about 2,000 people from different areas of the globe.  Unfortunately it is riddled with issues including freezing, loss in frame rates, and the main story was only 24 "levels" long making it the shortest Borderlands game in the series.  Without any DLC content, the first three Borderlands that came before it were much longer.  Sometimes a larger team does more harm than good.

SCS Software, creators of the trucking games I enjoy, started out much the same way.  The only exception is that they continue to support, develop, and update their Euro Trucking Simulator 2 all while developing, updating, and supporting American Truck Simulator that came after it.  They have a team here in the States going through western states to put in the game.  That team is doing lots of traveling and exploring to make sure that each state that gets added is represented as close as possible to the originals.  So far they've been doing good.

It's why I've taken such an interest in the Intellivision Amico.  The team making the games for it includes some that working on the original games long ago combined with new talent.  And what I've seen so far has been very impressive.  A lot farther along than that other 'box'.

I agree...Moonsweeper is a great 2600 title...one I'm not very good at.  Maybe one of the Star Wars games could be included?  The 2600 was loaded with them.

Well, then, what of Star Wars Arcade? It was released for the A2600 as well. Great game, too. I think that it was going to be released for the A5200 as well, as I had seen pics of that version when I was a kid. Great graphics on the A52 as well.
