Atari 5200 Guy Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 Wow! I'd love one. Someone must be wanting everyone's stimulus checks lol. Justin 1 Quote

TrekMD Posted March 22, 2020 Author Report Posted March 22, 2020 Yep, I had a similar reaction, hence why I wanted to share the auction. 😉 Justin 1 Quote 🖖 Going to the final frontier, gaming...
RickR Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 On second thought...it's not too bad a price -- it's only $1 per "Where did YOU learn to fly?" on a game of Cybermorph. Atari 5200 Guy, Justin, MalakZero and 1 other 4 Quote
Atari 5200 Guy Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 "Where did YOU learn to fly?" Her mama taught me 😄 Hey...the person selling it is called "HappiestSellEver". Well, if I sold all of them at $1,600 each I'd be happy, too. Justin and DegasElite 2 Quote
Justin Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 These all appear to have sold. Unreal. DegasElite 1 Quote
DegasElite Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 I don't doubt that they all sold at all, Justin. People are desperate for a collector's item, even an Atari Jaguar or two. I hope that these folks had the money to pay it. Paying $1,600.00 a Jag is expensive for sure. Quote

I was keeping an eye on them out of curiosity. The timing of the $1,600 Jags coincidentally corresponds with the stimulus check payouts. Prior to the stimulus checks being deposited only one had sold despite the auction having been up for a few weeks. Within a week or two of the first stimulus checks being deposited all the $1,600 Jags were snatched up. Interesting. Quote

TrekMD Posted May 18, 2020 Author Report Posted May 18, 2020 I stopped following them, figuring they'd never sell. I can't believe they sold for that absurd price! Justin 1 Quote 🖖 Going to the final frontier, gaming...
DegasElite Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 I can see why they were priced like that. Wasn't it only 250,000 Jaguars that were made? Plus, only 10,000 CD units were made for it, from my recollection. Very rare stuff. Absurd yes, but I can see it nonetheless. Justin 1 Quote
DegasElite Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 I am just going by hearsay about the availability. I could be wrong. Justin 1 Quote
