Atari Creep Posted May 17, 2020 Report Posted May 17, 2020 (edited) It's That time of year again! Click here ---> http://act.alz.org/goto/ataricreep <--- Click here Every year I register with the Alzheimers Association and raise funds that go toward care, awareness and most important, RESEARCH. Research to find a cure. I Campaign and participate in the walk every year in honor of my father who passed away in 2006 of Alzheimer's at the age of 63. Whats more I lost another family member to Alzheimer’s just this past week. One in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. More than 5 million Americans are living with the disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. In 2020, Alzheimer's disease will cost the United States $305 billion. This number is projected to rise to more than $1.1 trillion in 2050. In 2019, more than 16 million caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias provided an estimated 18.6 billion hours of unpaid care, a contribution to the nation valued at more than $244 billion Between 2000 and 2018, deaths from Alzheimer’s has increased 146%. 50% of primary care physicians believe the medical profession is not ready for the growing number of people with Alzheimer's or other dementias. DegasElite Posted May 17, 2020 Report Posted May 17, 2020 I had a grandfather who passed away from Alzheimer's last year at the age of 88. It's tough. I did see him before he died. He was in good spirits and was in his right mind at the time. He even recognized me. But, sadly, it progressed, but he died peacefully. In his sleep. Thanks for letting me share. :O) Justin 1 Quote
DegasElite Posted May 17, 2020 Report Posted May 17, 2020 Anyway, I will see what I can do for your cause. I might chip in. I will see what I can do. Thanks. :O) Atari Creep and Justin 1 1 Quote
