Colecovision video game pick up videos!

Recommended Posts

I been trying to inspire myself to fix my colecovision... I think what it needs is just to have the on and off button properly cleaned... It looks like a lot of work to do this and a lot of hours to do it as well.

Well with all that said here is my pick up from Digital Press videogames from this past Friday.

If I get any more Colecovision video game pick ups... and even if anyone else does and makes a video or takes photos please post here.

Thanks
Brent

Yeah I bought one... the guy said it was working and it never worked... i've had it for at least 3 years now and never got to fixing it... i am so mad at myself...  It would probably take me a good 3 to 4 hours to fix it because i've never done one before... and I hope it is the switch... it could be something else.

Yeah I used to watch the Butterbean fights on ESPN the Ocho a decade or more ago.  It was great stuff!  Good old days when they actually had good content on ESPN lol

One day I'd like to own one.  Its probably 3rd or 4th on my list!

BUTTERBEAN!  He had a standing challenge to ANY comers for a 3 round fight.

You can try cleaning it without disassembling the switch.  If you have a spray can (with a tiny red straw) of electronic cleaner, you can just get the cover off the CV, take the plastic part of the switch off, and try spraying into the openings.  If that does work, then a little electrical grease can also be squeezed into the openings.  I did this procedure to mine, and it's still going strong years later.

I'm not sure, I suppose you can try.  The cleaners in my post are from Walmart.  About $7 for both.

PS - Nice hot dog.

Really?  Wow, what a cool job.  I always assumed the food was "highlighted" to look good (like with paint-on grill lines), and thus, inedible.  Or left out really long and inedible.  Neat to know you eat the stuff after.

Oh and by the way, make sure to look up videos for taking the CV apart.  It's kind of tricky to do without removing the front sticker, but that's exactly how you want to do it.  Take your time, and be careful -- that's my advice.

Our Client wants all food to be edible at all times... we don't use the usual tricks most places do to make their products look like plastic or fake...      The photoshoots and photoshoping afterwars is my favorite part of the job... it is all studio work too... so it is a controlled area!    which is really really helpful for consistancy...  www.thumanns.com is all my work

Awesome thanks... i saw a few videos and got scared..  that front sticker is money to me..  i don't want to ruin the system... but I so want to fix it...  i have to clean my retro gaming area too...

Here is an old walk through of my video game area... it has been updated but I haven't done a new video... i'll have to do one soon

All correct except for the last one... the one that is on the bottom doesn't have much of a clue... hint is that it is a short name
